No it’s quite different than the RNY. I have to do 2 weeks prior to surgery. It’s been difficult.

Hi Y’all! My revision from sleeve (2014) to Duodenal Switch is set for 5/20/2019! Im on my 3rd day of preop diet. All liquids has been really hard. Hope to keep up with all the May 2019 peeps...I’m excited for this second chance! :) Melody

I recommend Dr. Carlton at Lonestar Bariatrics. He does all of the surgeries! My surgery date is 5/20 and I will be revising from the sleeve to the dswitch. -

Hey all!! Today I had my final weight loss and nutrition consultation and found out that since January, I have lost a total of 15 pounds! Yay! I really feel like I am on my way. They will be submitting my records to my insurance company on Friday. Please pray/send positive thoughts/meditate for me that I get approved. I have worked the program very hard and will be so disappointed if it does not get approved ( AND out of $$$ for preop testing/prep fees). I am looking at either a May 16, 23rd or June 6th surgery date. My Dr.is Dr. Kennedy, and I am very comfortable with her so all looks great!. I cannot wait to start losing, creating a new lifestyle, and posting lots of progress on this site that is sure to provide me some great support! Peace <3, Melody
