How are YOU ringing in the new year?

We have a thread about resolutions but what are you doing to celebrate a new year!? This New Year's Eve it isn't about food or alcohol, but about spending time with friends and family and loved ones! Playing games, sharing laughs, and creating new beginnings! And to a healthier new year! Happy New Years friends

How are YOU ringing in the new year?

Lol I love it, I'm making a lean thin crust pizza with artichokes, tomatoes, spinach, mushrooms, and some light cheese for dinner and we will probably be playing Yahtzee and watching movies! I am going to the gym here soon before it closes though!

So my friend really wanted some sort of tablet for Christmas this year well her mother wrapped this and put it under the tree for her.... She said, "here's your IPad!" .... Cruel but funny right.... Well she really did get her a new kindle, just thought I would share a laugh!

    June Post Ops!

I am so glad it's over, I love this time of the year, but if I see another cookie, cake or candy. I'm going to scream. I did very good, I did not eat sweets but the sight of them made me sick.I am so glad it is over! Not only is there a ton of food but I become a stress anxiety monster trying to make everyone happy and everything perfect! My finances work Christmas party was supposed to be today but it was cancelled because so many people backed out, I was so excited because I didn't have to go to another pot luck lol. So he brings home a frickin pie and ice cream! I was so excited for things to go back to "normal" lol. Oh well I didn't eat any pie or ice cream but it stared at me for a good minute.

  17. Yeah they said the program has gotten so huge they are looking to hire another surgeon, and there is only one nutritionist and social worker and a lot of people in the program at this location. At first I was frustrated but now I feel like it's going to happen just at the right time for me. I wanted to lose 50lbs before surgery and I'm almost to that goal may even be able to lose more!
  18. Maybe it's oregon! I'm in oregon too and have been in the program 12 months and on top of everything! By the time I have surgery it will be 15 months. I had 10 weeks of health as nutrition classes, sleep study, 3 separate group meetings, social worker and dietician meetings (an hour each). A follow up with the social worker and nutritionist, January 15th I have my pre op class then I'll have an appointment with my surgeon and schedule surgery. I literally call my case manager as soon as I'm walking out the door completing one step to schedule the next and each step seems to be scheduled 5-8 weeks apart. I have already done my drug test lab work and ultrasound of my gall bladder as well. I'm getting closer!

    August Post Ops

I was told no because the carbonation can stretch the pouch and drinking soda increases your appetite, especially diet.

    Excess Skin

hey everyone I am 3 months pre op, my surgery is in march. I was just wondering how many of you are post op or are even at your goal and did not have to surgery to remove excess skin. I want to know your secrets! :-D right now I walk 2 miles a day to and from the gym 5 days a week where I do 2.5 miles on the elliptical on the weight loss setting, and 2-3 days a week I'm doing zumba toning with sticks. I drink lots of water and eventually as I start losing more I'll start toning more. Just wanted to know what your exercise regimen looks like
