I'm in outside sales, and I also had a week long meeting at my 4-5 week mark and so I planted the seed weeks before seeing any of my district/work friends that I had been getting really strict and trying to eat small meals. I also would get a drink with a straw and just casually pick my drink up and "pretend" ...I wouldn't go down for Breakfast or if I did, I would just take my Protein Shake. It's hard when it's a buffet, but I would almost prefer that because I would get a salad covering half my plate and then whatever protein... What I didn't eat, I could hide under my salad and it seemed to work just fine! That was back in January and I will now be going to another meeting this week and seeing the same people, only I'm down another 40lbs (78 lbs total) so I'm curious to see their reactions! Hopefully you don't have any other meetings coming up soon!

Thank you!! You will totally have that same transformation! I still have another 50lbs to go, but I'm enjoying each step along the way... So funny how we all go from "ugh I have nothing to wear because everything is too tight" to "crap, I can't find anything to wear because every size I've kept in my closet is too big!" This side is MUCH MORE FUN! I wish you all the best luck!

Hey guys! Just wanted to post a quick update! I'm about 4.5 months post sleeve and I'm down 76 lbs as of this morning! It's crazy to think I had my surgery just in December, as it feels like it's been at least a year! That's a good thing! I feel great!! The first pic was from back in August and this "after" photo was taken this past weekend!

It's a stretch, but a goal is SUPPOSED TO BE challenging! I've got 8 weeks to bust my butt in this challenge!

My favorite item now is pretty silly, but I'm OBSESSED with the Skinny Pop popcorn in the Black Pepper flavor. Ahhhh, amazing.

Not sure if this link will work but lets try. I am also not terribly great with Xcel..but I know the basics.
First weigh in will be Monday July 7th. That will give us all a total of 9 weigh ins from start to finish, which will be Monday Sept 1st. It will be a long challenge, and will carry us threw the rest of summer and into start of fall.

I will post another with the pointers, rules etc for the other challenges. Same apply to this as all of the others.

Just make sure to adjust your goals to accommodate for the 2 months we will be in this one.

Any suggestions and help is greatly appreciated. I will like the posts as I enter them in, so that will not change.

Although I know you are following your dreams, I'm completely sad that you are leaving again! I love you and will miss you! There is not enough words to say how grateful I am in your guidance and help with my new journey in life! Good luck on your adventures and don't forget about us back home! I'm so lucky to have you as my Mom! And yes, you are my Mom, there is no such thing as step mom!

I am a bit overwhelmed with work these days as I prepare to relocate to the Middle East. I will be taking a leave of absence from my regular job for 9 months in order to 1) complete my PhD, and 2) do something I've always wanted to do...teach in a university classroom.

I am currently jumping through hoops in order to prepare my company for my leaving as well as meeting all of the strict requirements for working overseas. I will be working at the Texas A&M Qatar campus and couldn't be more excited. There are drawbacks, of course, including a serious cut in pay (I'll be making 1/7th of my current salary, and I'm the primary breadwinner!) Also, my husband will not be coming with me for this assignment, although we are hoping we can plan a trip for him to come for a visit around Christmas.
I'm telling all of this to let you know that I will not be able to manage the data for another challenge after this one. While I've had a heck of a lot of fun with these, I am just a bit overwhelmed at the moment and need to take a break. I hope that someone from this group will pick up the baton and run with it. I'm hoping someone will come up with some new ideas for the group, some new and exciting ways to keep people active, motivated, and engaged. I will miss this part of my week, this checking up on everyone and marking the group's progress, but I am in need of a break and can't figure a way around it.
Can't wait to find out who is going to volunteer to take the lead next!

I have been waiting for this day for so many years and prior to surgery, I didn't think I would ever see my weight starting with a "1" again. I have read over and over people on here writing that magical word "ONEDERLAND" and I couldn't wait to be the one to type it! Today is the day!!! I am a few days short of 5 months post op, and today on the scale read those magic numbers... 199.8!!! Who knew that could feel so good?! Just for anyone curious, I am 5'7 and started out at 277.6lbs. This is kind of a lame post, but since I chose not to tell people about my surgery, you guys are my PEOPLE! I've attached a few pics along the way . I still have another 30-40 lbs to go, but today I'm celebrating the success so far!!
