I can relate to your bad weekend! I'm so glad you found some reasons to smile and the blackyeyed pea analogy is a good one.
I would bet it's safe to say your kids have an amazing mom already:)
And I think I have bad breath too.

wow you are doing really well! I was sleeved on the 18th and am still working on the protein. I hope to be at 60 tomorrow. I am ok on fluids. I am on a liquid diet which includes yougurt and cream soup no problems as of yet. I also get a weird spasm but not under my sternum it is right under my rib cage on the left where the drain was. I haven't had any problems with feeling full yet. I am also napping a lot even without pain meds. My only complaint is that the staples are itchy. They are drying up and starting to pull. I go and have them out on the 27th so not much longer.
I think the best day I've had is when I got to take a hot shower! It is cold here and it hit the spot!

You are not alone in your frustration and anxiety. I am jumping thru those same hoops. For example, why do I have to have a psych eval when I already have a shrink that cleared me for surgery????? Just keep jumping

I feel for you. I too am pre-op. I have to have a sleep study in 2 weeks, then maybe 2 mos on an apnea machine before they will give me a surgery date. I am discouraged. My husband is also not the supportive type. But we will overcome!
