mine was clear liquids in the hosp/ (1 day ) then full liquids for 4 days then pureed foods for 2 wks then soft foods for 3 wks then add regular food,

karen , i have united health care work for bellsourth . they cover WLS my bmi was 35.3 i had no problem also a friend of mine on thissite had united health care her bmi was low i think around 31 the insurance paid for it so go for it . you can call uhc & see if your plan covers wls . good luck best thing i have ever done for myself. sandie

i have noticed that i am not hungry at all until around noon. i havent gotten a fill yet that will sept 26. i do tend to eat more at nite . i cant imagine being more restricted than this. is this normal just 3 wks out of surgery . it feels tight all of the time but mostly in the am sandie

i have united health care also . it took about 3 mo, but i was approved for the gastric bypass ( my paper wk. was coded wrong) so they had to redo it . it would have been sooner good luck sandie

i am i mean WAS a big coke drinker (not diet) that is all i everwanted was a coke extra ice. i was banded on aug 10 & havent had 1 either. i did get a diet lemonade from sonic i was in so much pain after just half of it. i went back by there & asked the manager if it was carbonated he said YES it comes from the drink machine. so i wouldnt even think of a coke. i am like barb just getting off the soda should make the weight come off. i am still eating to fast . sandie

I just got back from Taco Bell with my son. I ate a bean burritto, I tore off half the shell so it was mostly just beans and cheese, and I feel sooooo sick. It's like I ate a six course meal or something. How long will this last? Thanks, Sandie.

thank you all so much for the responses. kathy it was i am so full feeling i didnt want to throw up but couldnt habve eaten another bite, today i feel great drinking my water. i usually dont want anything to eat until afternoon so i use the am time to drink alot of my water & crystal lite. i am having trouble with the not drinking with meals or right after i have to really watch myself. thanks agai sandie

girl i can relate . when i read your post i thought did i write that . ha the lord has blessed us with each other on this site so we can help each other thur times like this sandie

Today I went for my post-op apt. I'm 12 days out of surgery and have lost 14 pounds. I am so excited. I am sure most of it is water weight though, but still very excited. I will be going back for a fill on Sept. 26th. Thanks for all the support, Sandie.

shirley rohr, you have lost that much since april 15. that is amazing. you go girl but please share how you have done it . i was banded aug 10 i can see a big difference in a wk . i wont weigh until next monday at the dr. sandie

i was banded aug 10 . united health care paid all of mine also . they are a good insurance company.

I was banded on wednesday. My incisions are better but my right shoulder is killing me. Anyone have any feedback on this? I'm miserable.

hi , glad you are here. i plan to be banded soon also just waiting on the surgery date . i have already been approved by insurance & have had all of the test. maybe we will be banded around the same time,. good luck there are alot of really nice people here that care & are very informative. sandie

be sure to get one that folds up mine is in the garage now it took up so much space in the house. sandie
