    Any Memphis area sleevers!?

Hi Amanda! I'm not that close to Memphis, Little Rock area, but I haven't seen that many folks from our area on here. I'm scheduled for 12-16. Working on day 6 of my two week full liquid diet. Good luck on your adventure!

Sounds like you are on the downhill side with surgery being Monday. I have another full week to go!

Anyone Else Have Trouble With Pre Op Diet?

I'm right there with everyone...started this full liquid diet last Sunday. I was doing much better during the work week. This weekend has been hard. I have tried to get down some yogurt but it is just nasty! I'm a super picky eater (I know, than why am I so fat!) so this diet has been super hard! Hang in there! We can do it!
  6. Hi all, I am a newbie and have surgery scheduled for 12-16. My question is, are you ever able to eat real food? To me that means enchiladas, hamburger steak, pancakes, spaghetti, casseroles, chicken strips, etc... Am I going to have to drink Protein Shakes forever? I'm on day 6 of my full liquid diet so maybe that's where all this anxiety is coming from! Lol! Thanks all

    Real Food?

Thank you so much everyone!! I woke up this morning in a much better frame of mind. Even though it's been hard, I have NOT cheated. Not even once. I am single so I really appreciate coming to this forum for support.

    Real Food?

Thanks Laura for responding. I've read numerous posts from you and respect your insight. We had a "snow" day so I've been cooped up at home all day on liquids and just think I'm starting to psych myself out.

    Pre-Op Diets

Two weeks of full liquids. 3 protein shakes a day, low dat cream soups, SF jello, pudding, etc. Started it on Sun (12-1) and surgery is 12-16. I'm doing better than I thought I would!
  10. My personal goal is to lose 140. Surgery is 12-16. I don't have the doc's official goal yet.

    2 Week Pre-Op Diet

On day three AND have a cold, so yes the energy is gone! However, the cold might be a blessing because it covers up the horrible taste of some of these protein shakes! Lol!

    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

Prayers for all the Dec 2nd sleevers! I was supposed to start my two week liquid diet tomorrow but went ahead & started today. I stocked up on about 4 or 5 different protein drinks so hopefully I will like one of them. Surprisingly, since I'm so overweight, I am a very picky eater. Not sure how well I'm going to do on this diet! Yikes!

    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

Welcome to all the new 16th sleevers! We are getting close! Excited and super scared all at the same time. Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving filled with blessings & time with family/friends!!
  14. Hi Mainexplorer! I am also on 12-16 and start my liquid diet on 12-2. Sounds like we have similar diets but I can also have cream soups, oatmeal, and other liquids like V8. Around 800-900 calories. I too have never had surgery or any procedure. I am scared out of my mind!! I know I need to get healthy though and this is my start. Good luck on your journey!

    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

I went to my last PCP appt today (actually finished my 6-month supervised diet with PCP in Oct but due to delays with processing I had to keep going until surgery) and I was down another 14.5 lbs!! I've lost 33.5 lbs since starting this journey in March! Super excited for my Dec date to get here!

    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

No, we are staying in a condo about 5 miles from the park. This will be my first trip! I started exercising and eating smaller meals at the office for "the trip" but it also just happens to fit in perfectly with my surgery!

    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

Hi Tami j, I am trying to do just that-anything to keep me distracted!! Had an early Thanksgiving dinner her Saturday since we will be gone. We actually have a big family vacation planned for Thanksgiving week to Disney World! The trip is part of why I had to have surgery in Dec. I know things will work out. I have faith & a lot of prayers!

    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

Thanks Mel, so glad to know someone else is feeling this way. Hopefully we can get through this ride together! Do you have to do a liquid diet?

    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

For some reason I started getting extremely nervous the last day or so! I've been working towards WLS since April so I'm not sure why my nerves seem to have taken over. Surgery is still several weeks away (12-16) and my liquid diet starts 12-2 so I'm sure it will be a roller coaster till then.
  23. Had issues with it last night, just kept spinning. Very frustrating!

    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

First off, CONGRATS to you AltantaRed on getting your date!! And second, thanks for all the info on the site changes! You do a great job with this thread!
  25. Am I the only one that thinks about surgery, my new life, what it will be like after surgery, etc....ALL day long?!?! Is this normal? I have never had any type of surgery, heck I've never even had an IV, so maybe that's part of why my thoughts always drift to WLS. I can't seem to turn my mind off from the entire process!
