  1. I'm an idiot. Found a FWB, started having feelings, now he's gone and all I want to do is cry until I throw up and eat cinnamon rolls.

I wish I could post his picture here - he's so cute! Today he finally learned to latch onto his bottle so I could stop feeding him with a dropper. It's the most adorable thing EVER.

  2. Got started with Match.com and Plenty of Fish. This is hard, why didn't I do it when I was younger?

I had success been in a relationship for over 3 years and we REALLY took our time getting to know each other, which I love. Yes there were plenty hit and misses. Just be sure to be very selective, listen, have lots of convo and watch out for any warning signs. Don't settle, don't rush & have fun.

Good luck! I met my hubby on eHarmony in 2003....big smile! Peas in a pod. I was 46 then. We got married just before my 47th birthday. The site has changed some now, but I liked the way the site worked. I agree with @lisaanewme67 about being selective, don't settle, don't rush, have lots of conversation, WATCH FOR WARNING SIGNS/FLAGS, and Have Fun. Remember: Not every date has to turn into a relationship. And, something someone told me many, many years ago.....don't date someone you wouldn't marry.

So far, one super nice guy that I'm sad to not be attracted to (he's THAT nice), one that has a job and makes me laugh so he sounds pretty promising, and one creeper that "has a good feeling about me"...and so does his kid. That seems pretty aggressive, lol.

I love tracking the obesity "classes." I'm working on my next goal of 180 right now, which would mean "overweight" 8 pounds to go :)

      Zoey716

I only track that I take them so I don't forget to take them. However, I do not track them for calorie purposes. I don't think it's that necessary.

    4. roundisashape

      roundisashape

Thanks, all - I'm debating on whether to keep counting them or not. The vitamins, fish oil, fiber gummies and calcium chews add up to 83 calories. Doesn't sound like much, but it's a big chunk of a low calorie day.

Thanks, everyone. I'm doing the m&m wallow today, and vowing to pull myself out of the dumps and start figuring out what I want to actually DO about it tomorrow. We already started talking possible donor eggs, but I'm going to a fertility center in the area to find out more about maybe how much time I have left to decide while that's still a viable option.

Good luck young lady, this isn't easy and requires the same dedication you brought into this surgery. The advancements in this area of medicine are staggering. The last time I did a legislative project on this was 10 years ago, my GF showed me how much advancement has been made since then.

The coffee and the pineapple extract both sound delicious - thanks! Have either of you seen the new Fairlife milk? It's got more protein in it than regular milk (13 g for 1 cup vs 8 g). I've been drinking more of that, too. Most of my protein comes from food now, but some days it's just harder to meet that goal than others!

    3. MrsSugarbabe

      MrsSugarbabe

I haven't seen the Fairlife milk yet. Will have to look for it. Does it taste like skim milk?

If you haven't already learned this (I had to ask), you can make up your Unjury shake and drink it the next day. I've found this very helpful from a morning time-saving standpoint. Also, I think the shakes taste better when allowed to "bloom" for a while. So many brands of powder say you should drink it immediately.

    4. roundisashape

      roundisashape

It does - I can't tell the difference at all. It's supposed to be the way it's processed that causes it to have less sugar and more protein, but I don't have any clue what's involved :)

It IS some crazy programming! It's also funny how, when you start losing weight, people who don't know what you're doing all of a sudden crawl out of the woodwork and try to sell you diet aids. There's no better diet aid than cutting out 80% of your stomach, lol.

I was just shocked when I got home - I thought an ear of corn and a few grilled shrimp was a decent enough choice at my brother's father's day dinner last night - yikes! Gowalking, that might be it - they came with a cup of some sort of flavored butter. I gave it to my niece for her potatoes, so maybe that's where all the calories came from.

    4. ShrinkingPeach

      ShrinkingPeach

That was most likely it, the butter. Corn is very high in sugar as well so be careful with that.

Another favorite when I'm in the mood for something chocolate/mocha (chocolate's not a huge draw for me), is to mix about 10 oz. skim milk, 1 serving of the Unjury Vanilla, 1 serving Chocolate Splendor, and 4-6 ozs. cold/room temp coffee, shake well, drink chilled or over ice.

I have a little longer, my surgery is December 10th. I am doing the same thing with trying to clean out closets and the laundry room and get rid of all the junk and clutter my family has horded. It feels metaphoric to losing the extra weight my body has been carrying around. I have a tendency to get a little OCD with my cleaning lists. I like the idea of hiring someone for the cleaning, but December is not a month with anything extra in the budget. I think we need to give ourselves a little grace and be happy with what we are able to accomplish. I wish you the best in your endeavors!

Must be - I try to make healthy choices when I go out but it's almost guaranteed to come back. Oddly, fried with the breading pulled off doesn't usually bother me. I wonder how much grease soaks into fried chicken when any breading or skin is pulled off?

    3. ShrinkingPeach

      ShrinkingPeach

I would imagine that when its skinless and grilled they brush it with oil, or its marinated. The breading may absorb the majority of the oil when its fried. If you have issues with restaurant chicken maybe get fish?
