I know for me, we are planning for school and the timing is off. I think after school goes back in session and things settle down a bit would be better- say mid September?
  3. No heartburn for about a month and able to eat about a cup of food per meal these days. Anyone else doing this 4.5 months post op?

me for the most part, somedays I still have issues eating like last night, I was just so worn out from the work I had to do for the last 2 days that I just couldn't eat anything last night, it was like a brick falling in???

I don't need to take any antacids or anything anymore. My stress level is so high these days that I've been slacking a bit. Haven't gained any weight, just haven't lost any either. The woes of being a fat chick trying to be thin :)

LMAO, your not a fat chick trying to be thin!!! Your a Thin chick stuck in a fat suit!!! lol!!! Stress I know just what you mean, that is me too, I am freaking going nuts with work, but I think this time it's working in my favor???? I haven't had to take antacids since pretty much surgery day???? I have been totally good with that!!! I lost 5 lbs last week, so I hit my half way point of 75 lbs. I was super happy, you can do this, don't give up now!!!

    I don't know guy's...I need Help.

Ok, let's not play games here. I Googled my clinic which has three doctors that perform the surgery. The one that presented at my information session seem knowledgeable but something didn't quite feel right about him but he was all that I knew, so I was gonna choose him....until I searched him up and read some reviews. No deaths or anything like that, but they said that he was very sterile and lacked compassion. Not good for me going through something like that. The other doctors had great reviews and I selected the best. Do the same for yourself. This is your life and your body your dealing with. I personally would not move forward with one that has such disparaging reviews. Good luck on your decision!
  5. Try to deny yourself what you want for six weeks and do what the doctor has ordered. You will be better for it.
  6. Finding these quick and wonderful meals on the go at Whole Foods. $3.00 gets you 5 oz of Cranberry Tuna Salad. Enough for roughly two meals. Yum!

  7. Nothing is tasting good lately. I think I have reached that 4-6 month restriction place where you can't eat much and nothing taste right. Anyone else go(ing) through this?

      pupichupi

yup, except I made something last night for dinner cause I have been craving pizza, and so what I did was I took a zucchini, and scooped it out just left a little bit on each end so it kinda looked like a canoe and filled that section with pasta sauce and then added cheese to the top and then put pepperoni's on the top, it was sooo good!!! But everything else just turns my stomach lately?

  8. I am so glad that I no longer work in the same office with my former team. Such negativity was leeching off on me, making me feel bad and wanting to eat it away. Exercise does a MIND good!

    Average Weight loss

    Are you gloating? Congratulations!
  10. What is normal? Is it fat, is it being out of breath, is it eating until you bust...? I ask that question with a lot of love because when you think about it, our normal was with those things added to it and maybe we should ask, when will we feel the 'new normal,' and what does that feel like? I can tell you this, you will begin to have more energy, you will get back to eating regular foods but not so much and maybe not the same foods as before. Hang in there, this will pass. We all went through this in the beginning, but my old normal is no longer. Hooray!

    "My special food"

LMAO!!! Happened to me toooo, until I smooth went off! Hard to mess with our baby stomach food when it's so little of nothing. TOO FUNNY!!!!
  12. I just don't respond. It could be that entitlement age where people want you to hand information to them on a silver platter, line by line, stage by stage.
  13. Throwing up was not in fashion in my day, but whoa baby!, do I stick my finger down my throat and tickle, tickle, heave ho..... It took me about two months to learn that and now, I rarely need to vomit. We teach ourselves how not to eat so that we don't become miserable!

  18. I'm 4 1/2 months post-op and last night, I was able to eat a bit more than a half of a small filet of Talapia. I was impressed because I thought eating Salmon, Talapia and Cod was over since every time I had eaten it, I would get deathly sick because it just wouldn't go down right. I guess I should say that I DARED to eat some Talapia last night and it worked. Still some work, but not like the past. My question to everyone on the forum...What is going on internally that makes difficult foods in early stages become easier to eat? Is your body healing or healed or is the stomach pouch getting bigger or relaxed?
  19. I am finding that I don't like to cook so much now since I don't eat so much. I have teens in the house so they make due...the hubby is another issue.

    Surpassing my nemesis

Queen, I am with you on this one. I measure my minor successes based on how clothes fit and reaching the '0's' on the scale, but I can tell you that I have two mini weight goals I want to pass because I have hit them before and gained it back and some. They are: 247 and then 227. 247 lbs represents what I have achieved in weight loss independently and 227 lbs represents when I left my hometown to live where I am today. My fear is that when I reach 227, I will just stop losing because my mind will tell me I have arrived. You know how your mind plays tricks on us. Congratulations on surpassing this one goal. You/we can do this!!!

    what is everyone eating?

I agree with everyone on here, especially Kindle regarding what to eat. I was stuck on a certain weight loss for a while, until I went back to eating three meals per day and eating Protein first. Once I got back on track with my exercise, I started back to losing weight. Good Luck on getting it right!
  22. 22nd anniversary this past Friday and I ordered enough food to feed 2 people comfortably, the way I used to eat. I ate 1/4 shrimp and corn chowder soup, one tsp. rice pilaf and a sliver of homemade cornbread. My husband knew I wanted to order big, so he let me to get it out of my system. That's why I have been lovin' him all these years :)

  23. I'm wearing my older bras that I kept when I lost weight before and they are fitting nicely. I think most people don't realize they have dropped a bra cup size because they don't get properly fitted. Now since our ta-ta's are deflating, it is good to get fitted to keep them up as high as we can get them Jiggle, Jiggle ladies
