  1. Happy 41st Birthday hdavalos!

  2. 4 years has passed since you registered at LapBandTalk! Happy 4th Anniversary hdavalos!

  3. Don't feel bad! I had my first (and only fill) at the end of August and was pregnant by November. I had 3 months and you would have been at the same place too... Just keep in mind that after the baby arrives, you can go right back to your fill and smaller portions. If you need a fill, get one! :w00t: I wasn't ready either but am happy that I can move forward after the baby is born and continue what I'd started! It is only a short delay. I have not heard of the band stretching but would too be interested if anyone is aware of that... I wasn't able to eat bread (at all) before I was pregnant and now can. Is that because the band stretched? I don't think the band itself can stretch but maybe some of the liquid went out? The band seemed REALLY strong and was a hard plastic. Anyone?
  4. I am 31 weeks pregnant and have gained about 17 pounds. I can feel it coming on a little more each week now but I would say "most" of it is in my belly. I did not have an "unfill" and have been able to eat a little more at each meal by drinking Water with my food. I know you aren't supposed to do that but it made me able to eat more calories per day. I am hoping to only gain 25lbs total and I only have about 8 weeks to go. Considering I gained 54 with my son 10 years ago (and to think I'm starting all over!!!) I will be glad to gain 25 instead of 54. Hopefully it will come off quickly following delivery. Did anyone breastfeed? They say you are supposed to have even MORE calories to do so and I don't know how that is possible with the band!!
  5. I have been searching this site and cannot find anyone who is in my situation! I lost 47 lbs and had my lap band last July ('07) and now I am 7.5 months pregnant and due in July ('08). The doctors said that my body was producing enough estrogen for a "larger" woman, which apparently made me more fertile. I guess so~! Has anyone delivered a new baby with the band? Has anyone encountered issues with Depo following the surgery as the weight continues to come off drastically?

    Hunger after band??

Thanks a bunch for the post! I guess that means the swelling is down (which is why the liquids are passing through so quickly) and I am ready to move onto smaller more filling foods! I appreciate the info. I have heard so many people say "they weren't hungry at all for the first 3 weeks" so I thought I might have a problem!

    Hunger after band??

I was banded on July 13th and lost 16 lbs already... I cannot understand why I am hungry all of a sudden and it is an INTENSIVE roar coming from my stomach. People can hear it around me! I am drinking Ensure with Protein in the mornings and trying to eat some type of cream soup in the afternoon (strained) and now it seems that every two hours I have that rumble?! Does anyone know why? The doctor said I cannot have the band adjusted until Aug 20! Any ideas?
