If you will be sleeved on Monday, October 10, 2016, let's find a way to form a group and share our journey. Any ideas?

Hi guys,
I'm entering into my final week before I am sleeved on Monday, October 10. I am very excited and wanted to see if any of you had any recommendations of things I should get prior to surgery? I feel prepared for all of the liquid prep, but maybe there are some non-food things that will make life easier for this journey. I have seen some discuss buying the little 4oz cups from Wal-Mart, some have mentioned purchasing baby sippy cups to ensure you don't swallow too much at one time. If any of you have any ideas, please share them with me. I look forward to hearing from everyone!

Congratulations on your weight loss and the new band life. Time will fly by before you know it. I can honestly say I fully enjoyed the holidays without depriving myself and still managed to lose a few pounds. Band life is incredible.

Jim, good for you! Life with the band is not about restricting what we eat, but more of how much we eat! I can honestly say I enjoyed my share of Desserts and goodies during the holiday!

Great to hear things are going good for you. I was banded a little before you. I'm down 28 lbs. Bravo to us for making it through the holidays!
Congrats on your progress! We are well on our way to healthier and more energetic lives!

Congratulations....glad you are doing so well at 2 months....

2 month mark for me was when things started to come unraveled...height of bandster hell...band was not doing anything for me, I started to gain weight even after my first fill...was as hungry as ever,...could eat anything.....felt the whole thing was a waste of my time and $$....

Took me 5-6 months to find that "Groove" (had it ever since) and I am as happy as can be......glad you found it so soon....

I'm glad things tuned around for you! How much have you lost?

Hello bandsters, I wanted to write and express how pleased I am 2 months post-op with getting the band! I am 24 lbs down, and for the first time in a long time can I start the new year with a weight loss promise I can keep! Now that all of the holiday treats are out of the house, I can now refocus on reaching my 60lbs mark by March! Are there any fitness challenges going on now? If so please share, I'd love to participate!

Great blog! I am approaching my first fill in (2) weeks. I do believe I have been giving a false sense of what it will be like after the first fill. I do feel more informed after reading your blog! Thanks for sharing!

I returned to work on Monday, and was banded on last Thursday! It may vary from person to person! I felt great on the first day back, but was worn out by the time I made it home. Was in bed by 7!!!! I also started my workouts back up on yesterday! Listen to your body and not your mind!

Hello Bandsters, I am entering into my 4th day post-op, and was feeling extremely motivated to start my gym routine again. I know it's been discouraged to lift weights at this point, but I thought I'd start with about 30-40 min treadmill walk. I will be returning to work tomorrow, and thought a nice walk would get my day started right! Can anyone suggest any exercises that you have found to be effective at this stage?

Good evening everyone, I'm concluding ny 4th day post-op, and feeling great! I think I may be close to 10lbs down......mostly Water weight, but I'm eager to start back in the gym tomorrow morning. Ill start with a 45 min treadmill walk. I hope this is not pushing it. Ill just let me body dictate when it's time to stop. Has anyone else dine any gym work?

@ldlady: I do understand the gas pain moving throughout your body. Thankfully, I've been able to pass it a little more frequent than the past 2 days. Hang in there! Each day passed, is a little closer to reaching our goal!

I'm not familiar with those two but I'm definitely open to the idea!! Something that would give us instant communication with each other, almost like our own group me.
