Tried those two, but the doctor I'm researching doesn't come up.

Curious for those of you who had your Surgeries in Mx, who do you go to for after care? How do you do your after care? Or any issues arise? If your insurance doesn't cover what do do or who go to after care?

What surgery did you have? How much have you lost?
How did you come to choose this surgeon?

I paid out of pocket for my surgery with Dr. Fernando Garcia in Tijuana. It was $4200 which included two nights at the Marriott and ground transportation. I had a very positive experience.

Who was your surgeon? Anyone here do self pay?

I had everything done through Kaiser. I met their requirements for surgery (I think it's 50 bmi, I could be wrong) so my insurance covered my surgery (Kaiser insurance through work) I was very fortunate that my contribution was only $500 for the entire thing.

Anyone know if the docs or Doc Illan at BariatricPal Mx require a pre op diet if you want them to do a band & plication revision to Gastric bypass???

Starting into look into getting my band and plication revised to a gastric bypass but can't afford my surgeons price :/

I was banded March 2007 and didn't have a big weightloss, but I was happy it was better then I have ever had. Yup and I tried it all. I getting close to my 10 yr anniversary and just started having some stumbles in my journey. I pray that that's all they are small stumbles and that I don't even up loosing it. And that I can keep it and continue on this Journey that changed my life even with just 56 lbs weightloss.

Yes went to see him in may of this yr. Xrays and barium swallow showed everything was fine but he took all my liquid out 2.5. July we did a fill of 1.75, did well and went back in sept to add .25 to make a total of 2.0 in my band. I actually posted earlier sharing my concerns and my journey since being banded and see if anyone maybe were going through the same thing as I am.

It took me about 2 weeks to feel better. I was really tired all the.time.though and then my cuts were sore for like 4 weeks.

This might be a stupid question but I'm curious to know if anyone with plication has done waist training?
What are your thoughts/opinions?
