Chelly got a reaction from Midgetsmom86 in Almost one week Post-Op Protein Shakes a no no
I would get egg white Protein Powder and use that.
    Use Water instead of milk.
You could get Isopure Protein Drinks and they have 40g of Protein in each bottle.
Before you do any of this call your nutritionist or surgeon and tell them of the problems you are having and see what they say.
You must have protein and water that's priority number one.
    Good luck.

Chelly got a reaction from BeagleLover in I see my surgeon on Monday!
Reflux is the biggest problem with those surgeries. The likely hood of them getting worse is higher.
I originally was going to have sleeve because I didn't want to be rerouted inside but I had reflux and Gerds so my gastric doctor told me I would be most likely be sorry if I did it and should have the bypass like what my surgeon first told me to do.
I am so glad I listened and had the bypass because I'm much healthier now and my insides are working fine and I eating well too.
I watch to stay away from foods that they told me to and I've had no real problems at all.
My advise is discuss it with your surgeon and study every piece of information you can get your hands on.
Best of luck to you in your decision and surgery.

The recipes are for all kinds of stuff for every stage.
Protein powders will clump if the Soup is hot. You have to add it after and then only if it's warm. Unjury can tell you what that temp should be.

    Hi and welcome.
Your nutritionist should have given you that information about how much you should be taking in. They are the experts about this and responsible for this information.
I really suggest that you call them first thing in the morning and tell them your lost about this info.
Each individuals program is different and has different restrictions depending on their weight and height.
This is the best advise I can give you.
Best of luck on your endeavors to better health.

In the first place you should be talking to your doctor about this it's a serious matter and decision.
Every medication or supplement has the potential for side effects or interfering with something else you take not working.
Don't do anything on your own regarding this because it just might be very dangerous to your health.

Chelly got a reaction from aroundhky in exercise.....where to begin?
After surgery I worked slowly from the treadmill and an elliptical machine to now riding the stationary bicycle for at least 8.50 miles at level 6 for 40 minutes. I do this four times a week and walk the other days.
I have some physical ailments that limit things I can do but I hope to get the clearance to get a trainer who specializes in people with physical disabilities to start low weight training. I need to tighten up.
I hope to get the clearance this week or next. Just have to do a couple of tests and once those results are in I hope to get the okay.
So my suggestion is as soon as they get you up in the hospital to walk don't stop doing it until you can get the okay to move on to the next step which ever that will be for you.
    Good luck.

Chelly got a reaction from dtrujillo67 in Is it working for you
My original decision was for the sleeve but that changed when my gastric doctor told me that the bypass was better for me because of acid reflux.
I had the bypass and am very pleased with my results.
I am much healthier and off almost all major medications.
No more diabetes meds, cholesterol meds, high blood pressure meds, Migraine meds, as a few other.
    So I'm all for bypass.
    It really worked for me.
Good luck with your decision and surgery.

    You're definitely not drinking enough.
Also coffee acts as a diuretic and you loose more fluids drinking it. This is what I was told by my surgeon and nutritionist.
You must drink all of the Water they tell you too or you will become dehydrated.
Now the acid reflux I would tell your surgeon about that problem and see what they say.
    Feel better.

Chelly got a reaction from Kivi97 in Juicing?
This is a question you should be asking the nutritionist.
In all honesty juicing is not part of the program at all at least with the group I go to.
My nutritionist and surgeon would say no to juicing especially pre op. To many sugars and carbs.
    Really talk to them immediately.

Your arrogance is going to get you into trouble.
You are being rude to the people here on this board.
You want to call yourself a "Fatty" then go right ahead but don't label the people on this board like that.
You're going about talking to people here in the wrong manner.
If you continue like this someone will report you for being offensive and I don't think you want that to happen.
People come here to be encouraged not to be called names.

Maybe this surgeon wasn't to be the one to take care of you and to do your surgery.
It's still going to happen just a little later then planned.
You keep coming here for support and to talk as much as you want.
    You take care of yourself.

Chelly got a reaction from LilMissDiva Irene in What would you change about your pre or post op journey if you could?
I would say that I should have listened to my primary care doctor and had done this earlier in my life then I did but it didn't hit me till last year that this needed to be done.
I had no problems with required weight loss prior to surgery. The matter of fact I lost more then I was required to.
I had no problems with the pre op liquid diet either.
I have had no real problems since surgery either except for loose bowels for a while after surgery.
    I'm pleased with my decision.
