Chelly got a reaction from tigerlily14 in I found an excellent food companies for us
The company is Walden Farms and there products don't have any fat, any calories and no cholesterol.
They make dips, spreads, sauces, dressings, syrups.< /strong>
Another company is Kay's Naturals for chips, cereals, Cookies. These all have 12 grams of Protein in each serving.
The products from these companies that I have tried are very enjoyable.

I would check with your nutritionist about having trouble or your surgeon because they will have the best answers of what to do.
When I was at your stage I used baby food to introduce meats and fruit to my plan maybe ask your nutritionist if this is exceptable to them.
I would take it real slow I think your eating foods to early for your stomach but that's my opinion.
    Let us know what happens.
    Take care.

I have heard of them but have never tried them. I would ask your nutritionist what they think of them and if they have the right kind of Protein in them.
I personally use Quest Protein Bars that are excellent in taste. They come in many, many flavors and are okay with my nutritionist to use.
Good luck in finding one you like and is okay with your nutritionist.

I have also had loss in my life that was horrific.
The first was my beloved Dad four days before my 19th birthday. We were still in mourning on my birthday but people that visited gave me gifts and a birthday cake to try to make it a little less painful that day.
The second was in 2005 when my one and only brother died of kidney problems and I found him in his apartment. I was at a loss in my world.
The third was when two months after he died my mother in law dropped dead in the middle of a party.
The fourth was in 2006 when my beautiful 19 yr old niece died in her sleep of a grand mal seizure. She was just figuring things out of what she wanted to do.
The fifth was a few month after that my favorite aunt died.
The sixth was loosing my mom to acute leukemia in 2012. She was so proud of being a survivor of child hood cancer of the bone and never knew she had leukemia because we didn't want to tell her that cancer was going to take her life.
The latest one was my favorite uncle last fall.
I'm tired of funerals and loosing people I care about. I know that it's part of life but it stinks.
I hope that it will be a long time before I loose anyone again.
My heart still hurts everyday but I still go on with a smile as much as I can.
To all of you who have lost I understand your pain and may you find peace again.

I like my shakes that I make myself.
I like to experiment with them by using sugar free Torani syrups and no calorie products from Walden Farms. I like Walden Farms Marshmallow Dip and also the Carmel Dip in my shakes.< /strong>
By the way Walden Farms makes lots of products that are no calorie or fat.
I can't eat to much poultry or meats so this is my way of getting my Protein in.

    Chelly got a reaction from Makinchanges4me in I'm 5'5" , 370# which surgery?
I originally was going to have the sleeve and prepared for it but both my surgeon and gastric doctor convinced me to have bypass because I had Gerds and the sleeve they told me would make it worse.
I had the bypass and I'm doing very well.
It's one of the best things I've done for myself.
I got rid of the majority of my meds from having this surgery and I also got rid of my high BP, high cholesterol, diabetes, Migraines, and a few others.
I have no real problems eating either.
I only have had one incident of dumping and that's because I ate to much of an omelet.
First and fore most important is to go with what your surgeon recommends for you because they are the only ones that know your medical history and what would be best suited for you.
Keep us informed of what you decide to do and good luck.

    Welcome!
When you have the right mind set you can accomplish many things and you sound like you're there.
This surgery is a big step and you've made it by deciding to do it for yourself.
That takes a lot of courage to do this surgery and don't let anyone including yourself stop you from getting what you want, which is better health.
Best wishes for your upcoming surgery.

Chelly got a reaction from Judyr in If YOU knew then...
I watched myself before surgery and exercised. I lost more then the required amount that they asked me to and I'm glad I did.
I had one last meal before my surgery of a burger and homemade chips plus dessert. I still eat burgers without the bun and my dessert now is applesauce instead.
The only thing I sorta regret is not doing this earlier in life but I wasn't mentally ready for it until last year.
I would do it all over again.
    Good luck to you.

If you like cilantro their chile and cilantro chicken burgers are good.
All I can say is read, read labels so you don't get anything that's not going to work for the plan your on.
Also almonds from there is a good Protein source. Make sure they have no sugar listed on them with the salt because some stores not necessarily traders but some stores have them that way.
About the nuts it depends on what stage you're at in your plan if you can have them or not.
Traders is a fun place to go but be careful what you choose so you can stay on your plan your nutritionist and surgeon gave you.
    Enjoy.

Catheter truthfully is no big deal to have.
They most likely will only leave it in until the day after surgery so you don't have to worry about getting up unless you feel good enough to the first day and not groggy.
Them putting you out is one minute your alert and next asleep. It goes very quickly and you be awake again in recovery then to your room.
I know this because I've been under a few times for different surgeries.
Try get some rest tonight and try not to think to much about it.
Good luck tomorrow and when you feel up to it let us know how things went for you.
    Take care.

Well I have gone beyond my first goal and my surgeon would like me to have a normal BMI.
To have that I need to lose just a few more pounds and hopefully I can do that by my one year anniversary of surgery. I think I can do that.
I really haven't picked an exact number yet.

Chelly got a reaction from countrygirl in When to start exercising
For now just walk that's it as many times a day you can. It will help release gas and help you eliminate fluids built up from the IV.
Drinking your Water and clear fluids will help with eliminating those excess fluids too.
Don't start any working out until your surgeon gives you the okay. Your body needs time to heal and for you to get your strength back.
Feel good and remember to take it slowly.

Chelly got a reaction from Mariew24 in Is there anyone here with Rheumatoid Arthritis or any other Auto Immune disorder?
I have fibromyalgia, osteo arthritis, RSD, stenosis of the spine and I'm doing better with pain management most of the time.
You should work with a pain specialist because there are alternatives to not using narcotics to ease your pain. There are Linoderm Patches which are applied to the effected areas 12 hours on 12 hours off. They help. There are topical pain relievers that work also. There are shots that you can get to help with the pain.
Loosing weight helps a lot and you will move easier and for longer periods of time.
Feeling good is the most important thing.
