When did you guys start drinking regular coffee again?
Equestriangirl replied to ButterflyRainbow's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
My program didn't restrict coffee but I didn't start drinking until about 6 months post. I did however drink a coffee protein drink made by a company called Chike. It's awesome. 20 gm of protein 2.5 gm of sugar, 130 calls. It has real espresso. I am 2 1/2 yrs post RNY and still have a shake every morning. The company has other flavors as well and you can buy on Amazon. -

How much did you lose in the first few months?
Equestriangirl replied to sylvielicious's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgeon said people average 3-5 lbs per week. It was true for me. It slows as you get closer to your goal weight. -
300 calories a day?!
Equestriangirl replied to ladykatie_'s topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That was normal for me, but I focused on protein and was getting at least 60 gm per day. -

It's all about averages. 3-5 lbs per week. That's the usual I think. -

Equestriangirl replied to lkm96h's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
In the beginning, you have to have protein shakes. My program had us drink them for the 1st two weeks post op. Then we advance to purée. -

1 Month Out- Having A Tough Time
Equestriangirl replied to Chelle's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
One thing I learned from this process is that the time tables they give you don't always work for everyone. At 4 weeks I was still super tired and a little foggy. Went back to work at 6 weeks and was still pretty tired. 8 weeks was so much better. Food wise my stomach still isn't happy with some proteins. Make sure you get your protein, fluids in. -
I like the food scale. You just put your plate on and zero the scale and then put your food on. It's simple.
