  1. I have PCOS also had the DS surgery on 8-6-2013 and I've lost a total of almost 200 lbs. I started at 350lbs and am 165lbs. I've had some stalls but all in all I'm pretty happy with my results being 1 yr 5 months post op I think I've done pretty good. I still wasn't too loose between 20-40lbs but with the excess skinmy drs say in at a good weight if I evert want the skin removed... oh and my PCOS was testosterone based my testosterone was OVER 100 and is now down to 18. Although I had regular cycles before my surgery since they've been crazy... anywhere between 12-20 day cycles but sometimes I'll bleed 2 weeks straight. Since ice been stalled and on bcp for a couple months they've gotten regular now. Hoping to get my BFP sometime soon.

  2. Hello everyone. I'm about 1 yr and 5 months post op surgery was August 6 2013 my HW was 350lbs. And I'm currently 165lbs. Still about 20 to 40lbs till my actual goal but this far I'm pretty happy. Well I took my measurements a few months back. I've lost maybe 10 lbs since thing but here's my NSV...

    Hips: 38 inches (then)

    Hips: 32 inches (now)

    Waist: 35 inches (then)

    Waist: 29inches(now)

    Bust: 36 inches (then)

    Bust: 30 inches (now)

    Neck: 13 inches (then)

    Neck: 12 inches (now)

I've lost 6 inches in hips 6 inches in waist and 6 inches in my bust!! Along with an inch in my neck. :-) now only if I could lose this last 20lbs or so and the excess skin -_- oh how I hate the excess skin!! Anyways this feels great to know 10 lbs and 6 inches from each area that's 19 inches all over lost... :-) hmm anyone else with their NSV... oh also I can wear a size 7 with medium tops :-) from size 24/26 to a 7. And from a 3xl-4xl shirt to mediums! Yay

  3. I'm down almost 185lbs and wanna lose 30lbs more. I'm at 165 lbs and was at 350lbs as my highest. My skin isn't the worst but not the best. I'm still trying to figure out how to help the skin. Other than working out and trying to tone up as much as possible I'm wondering about creams and whatnot too... hopefully I'll find something to help. My belly arms and thighs definitely need some help.... maybe get a 360 body lift in the near future.....

  4. I am a year and 4 month post op from a DS and I never really got the full feeling until.i was in the bathroom throwing up . But at 6 weeks out i was on liquids and released to soft food then. But when I started eating foods certain things I could only have 1 of 2 bits of then other things I could eat 6oz of depending on what it was. about a month ago my stomach finally started to tell me HEY I'M FULL NO MORE PLEASE. so it can take time. Like I said never got the full feeling when eating till it was way too late and I throw it up. Now I get it around the 1/4 cup to 3/4cup time done again depending on what I'm eating. Also my Dr said after 1 yr post op I could eat up to 1 cup of food at a time if I do that I'm throwing up. So just try to listen to your body. Some people don't know it but get full and get pain between their shoulders or they get headaches. Just measure your foods and try not to eat and drink at same time as this pushes the food out and makes you eat more..

  5. I am 1 yr 4 months post op from my ds. I once weighed 350lbs. Today I'm 165lbs. I still want to lose about 20-30lbs. But just curious if anyone who's post op at least as far as I am or even further out has had any issues with foods now that they didn't before. Such as hamburger. Starting about a month ago I started getting sick every time I'd eat hamburger meat. The next day bad stomach pains or in the toilet like crazy. Also throwing up right after eating hamburger meat and I don't over eat. Also anything dairy makes me sick now too and all this just started about a month ago. I thought it was from some new pills my Dr put me on. But I noticed it's just from the certain things I eat..... has this happened where you're fine up until after your year or so and it suddenly make you sick? I just want to know that it's not just me and if it is I definitely would consult my doctor. Also I now actually get the full feeling faster than I did before now my body finally tells me to stop eating cause you're full. Even before I eat the amount the Dr told me I could eat. It's weird cause it all just started about a month ago... well anyways just curious on this. Thanks :-)

  7. How's everyone doing? I am almost 1 yr post op! August 6 is right around the corner... Well my stats are this...

    HW: 350lbs

    SW: 302lbs

    CW: 175lbs

    GW:130-150lbs (depending on skin...)

I still have a ways to go but I've lost a lot of weight and am feeling great. I am having some medical issues tho they aren't exactly caused by the surgery (far as I know) but having liver issues which idk if it's related to surgery or if I just got the short end of the stick and not found till after surgery but either way I'm praying for good results ... Don't look too good tho. Anyways hope you are all doing GREAT... Congrats to us all getting to our 1 yr surgiversary this month! Yay

  8. Hey everyone hope all is well I'm about 11 months post op today!! WOW HOW TIME FLIES!!! Anyeays here's my stats

    HW: 350lbs

    SW: 302lbs

    CW: 179lbs

I'm down almost 200lbs from my highest weight and since surgery I am just over 120lbs I am a slow loser now especially lol I had the Duodenal Switch on 8-6-2013 and I'm so happy I did. :) any bariatric surgery I believe is great for people who need the extra tool to help them. My goal weight is 160lbs and ultimately I want to be around 130-140 lbs by this time next year so hopefully I can still use this tool and get to my goal. I'm definitely going to need to have my excess skin taken off but that's something I'll worry about after I get to the weight I want to be at :) here's pics from this 4th of July weekend... :)

  11. I am really grateful to have read this experience. I'm new to the board and just posted about how I'm 7 weeks post-op and 18 lbs down but feel "behind." (I also recently experienced a 7 lb spike in my weight but it has since come down post-time of the month). It helps to know that others have gone through this and that I will be okay. Like the original poster, I too am fearful that I will be the exception to the rule and will not be successful at this!

I also gain about 7lbs during tht time of the month and it takes about a week post that time to go away. I was talkingn to my surgeon and he said he sees paitients that don't lose a pound till their 3-4months post op I'm like that's crazy but it happens. Our bodies are in shock so that's why this happens. I also thought I wouldn't lose and I'd be the exception to the rule but I am dwn from 350lbs to 190lbs. Day of surgery I weighed 302 so that's just over 110lbs dwn since surgery almost 9months ago!

  12. Well you look great you have such a beautiful face :-) and a gorgeous body!! Where did you get that cheetah print shirt!!! I sooooooo need it lol!!! I feel you on the whole Tummy Tuck thing and honestly I never had much breast before so I haven't really lost much there was a small C cup now I'm a B cup. Went from size 24 to a 10-12 which is great! I wear size M-XL shirts depending on where I get them from... I hope to tone my body more I definitely need to work out more! My belly had two belly flaps one at my belly button then the one at my pelvic area :-( my bf keeps telling me holly shit baby you don't need a tummy tuck your belly is toning up great! I have noticed my flap at my belly button is flattening out pretty good... And don't even get me started on my thighs!!! OMG I hate my thighs . They're shrinking but the extra skin sucks and they're still super thick even not looking at the skin. I think that's where most of my weight I'm still over weight is at lol (I'm about 43lbs over weight still...) other than my excess skin my weight is definitely all in my thighs and a little in my belly -_- well congrats to you for doing sooo great!!! And seriously that cheetah print shirt where you get it!! Lol
