after dealing with dry fish, i called my mom and we had them discharge me. im home now. feeling alright. theres one big stitch where the chest tube went into my ribs. im still on home antibiotics thru IV for another 10 days. didnt sleep good at all last night. woke up regretting this surgery all together. its just all the complications made me feel like "if i knew this was how it would be i wouldnt have done it". im tellin ya things needs to get better real quick. i feel like ill never be me again.

i got the bypass a month ago today. i have lost 35lbs so far i got pneumonia which decided to stick around for a few weeks. but i dont regret it at all. i wish i did bypass to begin with but i was too big of a baby lol. do it. u wont regret it. and my incisions healed beautifully i sometimes forget i have them lol. rny 4/6/12 <br />hw 255/cw 219/ gw 140

3 weeks ago on the day of surgery i weighed 255. today, 21 days later i weigh 224! 31lbs down in 3 weeks!! i have a total of 115lbs to loose. i wana be 140. HOWEVER i would be happy at 150-160. so i have 94lbs left to loose.

congrats! Deff keep and eye on that cold. They sent me home with a cold too and it turned into pneumonia.

thank you!! the meds they were giving me before this worked alot better and i keep adking for them but theyre not budging. they forced me on my side and its a tiny.bit better but id love some strong meds. i miss home. who knod how much longer ill be here.

i hAd the band 3 yrs ago. i now have the bypass. i dont recommend the band. it can easily stretch and make it hard to restrict. i kive the gastric cuz its always restricting. snd ive lost 30lbs in 3 weeks. i bever saw results like tgmhat wirh the band. my insurance actually stopped approving the band cuz too many people switched to rny.

well im back in the hospital now. they put me to sleep and put a drain in my lung. its very uncomfortable but i can breathe

you will be fine if you slipped up and had chicken. it will be digested and gone in a week. i broke down and had a basic salad 2 night before surgery. lettuce tomatos and cucumbers with fat free honey mustard dressing lol. didnt make a difference. you just need to get in the habit of a liquid diet so it doesnt shock u right after surgery. but trust me, you wont want solids at all.
