  1. Had surgery last Monday 1/13. I had the Lap-band removed and a lot of scar tissue removed. I now am happy to have the sleeve. I am feeling good over all a little better everyday. However when I walk I get a horrible pain by my large incision which goes around to my back and a lot of time I scream. I don't have any pain when I'm resting just soreness. I didn't call drs office today now I'm wondering if I should. Has anyone else had this kind of pain?

  3. Maybe your bites of the yogurt are too large. Your so lucky to be able to have yogurt! I can't wait until it can.

I found a thread with a bunch of people who had surgery on the 13th like us! I think it was under support. It's nice to read how everyone is doing at the same time!

My husband brought me a drink at GNC called isogin (I think) it looks like Gatorade and has 40 grams of Protein in it. I haven't tried it yet but I will start sipping on it tomorrow. I'm looking taking care of protein and liquids at the same time!

    Have a good night!

  4. Hi! I'm so excited to find all you fellow January 13thers lol

I went from the band to the sleeve on Monday. Very happy to no longer have the band. I had been having trouble for yrs with it. It turns out that I had scar tissue on my liver and stomach from the band which was causing me all of my problems.

Spent 2 night in the hospital. Yesterday I could hardly keep my eyes open. Today I'm more awake and trying to get the Protein and fluids in. I'm even diluting prune juice!!

Incision pain has had its moments of being terrible on and off. But I actually woke up this morning sleeping on my tummy which felt so good and was surprising.

I'm on full liquids for 2 weeks except I take some of my meds with applesauce which is so refreshing!

Are you all still sleeping a lot? I slept a lot less today but still had quite a few naps. Naps are a wonderful thing.

Looking forward to joining the bm club lol.

Feel good and sleep well tonight.

  5. I had the band for 8 years and now have the sleeve. Day 5 of my sleeve.

With all of the troubles I had with the band I read a book called wheat belly. Great book, great way to live. I kept wheat out of my diet for a while and once I can eat again that will be how I eat.

I am a Big Mac junkie. I order Big Macs with out the bun in a salad bowl. I haven't had much bread since my band anyway and this tastes like a Big Mac salad! I think they even put a little extra lettuce in the bowl for you.

I'm excited about my sleeve I've changed my life style because of the band for so many years. There are great recipes out there for wheat free living and it really is fun experimenting with them.

I haven't really been able to have much spaghetti so I brought a spiral slicer that slices zucchini. I now have replaced spaghetti with zucchini and I love it!

I am wondering about sugar because with the band I could eat as much as I wanted and I always wanted too much! I am hoping and praying the I will not get strong cravings because I'm afraid of my mental and physical reaction from it.

At the moment I'm craving cottage cheese and apple sauce! Can't wait to get to the next stage lol.
