After four long months of jumping through hoops, overcoming enormous fear, and learning how to deal with my emotions without sugar and cigarettes, I've finally been sleeved! Sore but healing.

You should have no problem doing any sport or exercise you did prior to surgery once you are completely healed and cleared by your doc.

    Broiled Shrimp Parmesan
    Ingredients:
1 pound of raw shrimp (I get medium to large size)
    1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
    1/4 cup butter
    3 tbs Mayonnaise
    2 tbs fresh lemon juice
    1/4 teaspoon dried basil
    1/4 teaspoon black pepper
    1/4 teaspoon garlic power
    1/8 teaspoon onion powder
    1/8 teaspoon celery salt
I peel my shrimp and put them on a foil lined pan. Melt butter and mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. Take a spoonful of mixture and put it on top of each shrimp. Turn oven on broil , once heated cook on top rack for 4-5 mins. That's it!! We eat them all the time and make them as appetizers. This same mixture is also fabulous on fish! Here's my last batch...
    Now, did I WIN??! Ha!

I was going to say that if you're married let him cook. If your kids are old enough let them cook! My husband had to take care of food for a few weeks before and after surgery. My kids and husband are all still alive! They won't starve!

Awwww Thanks! I gotta be honest . . .the second I hopped back onto the board and saw that I got responses, I calmed down immediately. Thank you so much for those assuring words!
My husband is the BEST caretaker in the world. He got me thru cancer twice. He quit his job so that he could tend to me full time. It's been a rough road . . .but I know I wouldn't have been able to pull through if it were not for me.
Surgery is Monday at 10:35. Arrival at 8:30.
What a cool support group. Thank you!

Really? One day and you are already freaked? I think you need to calm down, relax, and follow your post op instructions.
Surgery, no matter what it is, involves discomfort or even pain.
I'm sorry to be blunt, but get a grip. You will feel better soon.

I seem to have settled at around 60-80 grams of carbs a day. My losses are better at the lower end and with higher Protein. Right now I'm in my 2nd month of a stall.
