  1. Can I get 1 entry per recipe? BTW, Elode, love your new avatar.
  2. Calico Dip A magtart family favorite. This is served at all family events. We have to at least quadruple the recipe as we have a large extended family. Serves 6 Ingredients 1 cup low fat cottage cheese ( small curd preferred) 1 cup low fat sour cream 1/2 cup low fat mayonnaise 1/2 teaspoon sugar (optional) 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 cup green onion, minced 1/4 cup radish, minced 1/4 cup cucumber, seeded and minced 1/4 cup green pepper, minced 1 garlic clove, minced Directions Combine cottage cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Add in sugar (if using), salt, minced garlic, and all the veggies. Stir well and refrigerate for at least an hour to blend flavors. Serve with celery sticks, carrot sticks, or any other veggie dippers -- great with potato chips too!

You should have no problem doing any sport or exercise you did prior to surgery once you are completely healed and cleared by your doc.

    What Is Your Thanksgiving Workout?

Cooking the meal! 2 days of prep and cooking. Maybe some treadmill in the morning.
  6. I seem to have settled at around 60-80 grams of carbs a day. My losses are better at the lower end and with higher Protein. Right now I'm in my 2nd month of a stall.
  7. As I posted in another thread "those Isopure zero carb drinks go down a lot easier with a shot of vodka in them". Anyway, you're fine. Just don't do it every day.

That sounds yummy. Thanks for posting!
  9. It should get a little better each day. Good luck!
  10. That looks yummy! I didn't get anything, not even Water, the first day. The 2nd day, when I could show that I could sip some Powerade zero, they sent me home. ?!?!? I didn't get any of that delicious food, um, liquid. Oh wait, I did get some kind of barium concoction to test for leaks.
  11. There's a section on this site all about Mexico. Here you go...http://www.bariatricpal.com/forum/486-mexico-self-pay-gastric-sleeve-surgery/
  12. When are you allowed to progress to the next stage? I think at 3 weeks I was allowed pureed food. Stuff like refried Beans with cheese, mushy tuna salad.

    Have you ever?

I've been going up and down 2 lbs for a month now. It is getting tiresome, but it happens. Weight loss is not linear.

    Wasting food mental issue

Have you considered seeing a therapist about it? It sounds like a form of OCD.

    Turmeric capsule

I know what tumeric is and have it in my spice cabinet. I just never heard of it in this context.

    Fluid intake

Do you not have A/C where you work? Even if you don't, 64oz. of Water a day is the recommended amount for everyone. I'm not sure I understand the issue.

    Fresh postoperative

I don't know of anyone who could get the full 60 grams in right away. Just keep taking tiny sips. You will start feeling better soon.

Protein Shakes - Do I have to?

The Protein helps in healing. You will have to try something. Can you have greek yogurt? Sip on some warm broth. Try Isopure zero carb, which is more like a clear fruity drink.
