Hurrah..I am now approved for sleeve surgery. My surgery will be Dec 5. I have changed my mind several times before I finally realized I cannot do it alone anymore.i have lost weight many times only to put it back immediately on. The last diet I went on , two years ago, I lost 65 pounds only to put it back

I am on a 7 week diet to start changing my habits ..like chewing slowly, drinking 64 ounces of water, exercise, etc.. I also started seeing a eating disorder dr to help me along this journey..I know I will have struggles do I need all the support. The hospital where I am having my surgery is wonderful..methodist hospital in houston. They have wonderful resources for after surgery care on nutrition, support groups, small groups to discuss physc issues, etc.

I have been having weight issues for 40 years..I am 59 years old. I don't feel like a defeated with having the surgery..I only know have given my best shot in the past. I am exhausted with trying every diet there is. Today, I am hopeful, and scared at the same time. I will prevail this time..I will not let the demons to win this time. I will conquer.
