  1. I'm having the same issue! I am 8 and a half weeks pregnant and I think that I actually have more restriction since I became pregnant. It makes me nervous that I'm not going to be able to eat enough for this little baby. Anyone else experience more restriction after becoming pregnant?

  2. One lb to go until I hit one-der-land! scale was at 200 this morning. My own personal goal for my weight loss had been to just be below 200. Since I'm 5'10", I feel this is reasonable. Hoping to see 199 soon! Diet on point and gonna push through!

  3. Wanted to update the pic of the wedding dress I chose. Weight loss is SUPER slow, but I have not gain (yay!) and that's a huge change for me. I am down 94 lbs in 18 months. Would like to push another 10 or so before the wedding in sept. I am working out now and feel like I'm losing inches but not pounds yet. It'll happen! Just wanted to update!

  5. I am 1 year and 1 day out from my surgery! Gastric sleeve has been my saving grace. After struggling my whole life with diets and weight problems (almost all related to over eating) I have gotten myself now to an acceptable weight and much healthier state! I have lost 94lbs total now and am not quite to goal. I would like to be under 200lbs and after that I'll be satisfied with wherever I settle after that. I am getting married next year and am so excited to feel good about myself, ESP for that day. This was the best decision I've ever made. :)

It was kind of fun reading my posts from 10 mo this ago. Remembering back to how the journey began. Now I am 88lbs down, feeling amazing and am so happy I made this decision for myself. I feel like I found my cure to obesity. I notice a lot less restriction now, but get full quick on Protein. So I try to eat Protein with most of my meals. Snacking more than I should, but still very happy with my progress. I am almost under 200 and that's my only real goal. Hope to do that before the end of the year. I just wanted to update this thread and encourage everyone to keep at it!

  7. My labs have been fine so far. Still very little sex drive. I'm 10 moths out, down 88lbs and now feel self conscious about how my body looks because of flabby skin. That's part of it, but just no drive otherwise. Feeling sad. Anyone with encouragement and suggestions?

  8. I see so many positive pictures proving this can be a successful tool. My date is next month.

I do want to ask you that are here, post op. I see you list weight and look amazing! But I want to know How do you feel now? Do you feel healthy and strong,? I still worry about not being able to eat to provide my nutrients it seems for a long time you eat Protein to survive. It's scary.

I had the same concern. I also was worried about not being able to hydrate well, especially when working out. Here's what I have to say about both topics:

    1) on the nutrient issue... In the beginning, it'll be tough, but you'll learn you can survive on very little calories. It's super Important that you start Protein shakes and taking your Vitamins as soon as you are able to. I remember feeling amazed that some days I'd eat 500 Cals or so and still be alive! At first you really do feel run down, but that goes away with time, especially once you are able to start eating real food. I try to eat Protein as much as possible, but end up eating my fair amount of carbs too. Once you're further out, you gotta just figure out what works for you. I eat pretty much whatever sounds good, work out, and am still losing. Slowly :)

    2) Water.... I am 10months out. I believe you will never be able to eat and drink at the same time. This makes hydration hard for me. I try to drink Water as much as I can, but I end up drinking coffee half the time.... I could be well hydrated, if water was all I drank. So you can do it, and I certainly make an effort when I'm working out or feeling crummy.

So far no real complications with either issue. 10 months out and 88 lbs down! Good luck!
