So this needs to be done after surgery right? My surgery is on Tuesday.

My surgery is scheduled for Tuesday and I'm still waiting for my insurance approval. Spoke to a really nice woman at my insurance company. Fingers crossed she can move it along!! Please send positive vibes!!

I'm pre op and ready to be Vgs on 2/25... My husband and I dated 11 months and have been married for 13.5 yrs... He met me when I was 247... I got as high as 363... I am now down to 274.4.... 37 of those lbs came off since aug 2013 when I started this process. The other was over a 5 yr time span... He has seen pictures of me when I weighed 149... When I starred this process I told him I NEEDED him to be in this with me! I wasn't doing this for him or me but for my son so I'm here for him when he's older (he's 6). So hubby jumped on board and has lost 60! Since aug... Thinner then when we were married. I know we r in it to win it. We have talked about everything we r looking forward to doing this summer with our son that we have not been able to do. My husband has never been the jealous type. Ever. He does like to control the money ... Which in the over all picture is not a bad thing. So I just wanted to say that my hubby has been so supportive of everything. He does think I can do it by myself without surgery since I've done so well so far. But we know how that goes. He will be home with my son during my hospital stay and while I'm recovering at my parents... He is very sensitive and I don't want him to be worried!! Best of luck to all!! Xoxo

Hi everyone! I have my surgery date!!! Woo hoo. Feb 25!! So excited. Already down 37!! So excited!!!

I just had my base weight weigh in and my first appointment with the LPN is in October. But I have all my appointments set and ready to go. Actually will be done with them before I visit with the LPN for the first time! Just started the south beach diet. My dr wants me down 5% before surgery. That is a requirement for all his patients. I would love to be down 10%. I'm on day 2 of the first phase and it's tough! It's getting better! I have a friend who did it and met another woman locally. I'm excited... Not nervous yet... Looking forward to a new and improved me!! Anyone local just starting out?

Hi. I'm glad you posted this. I'm scheduled for feb 25 and I have bad anxiety as well. I take Xanax and it does help so much!! I would ask for that. If you are already on it then maybe upping the dose. I listen to meditation music sometimes. You've gone to the dr and checked it out. So now it is a head thing. I've been there. Just breathe. In box me and I will help up thru it!! Hang in there!!! Xo

Hi all! Super excited! Got my dr approval today! Now just waiting for insurance! I am down 20 since I started this process and down a total of 32 since I started thinking of it! So exited and a tad nervous. Feb 25!!! Bring it!!!!

I am waiting to go into my weigh in and then next month I meet with my surgeon on January 9... Keeping me honest thru the holidays! I hope. To have it done by the end of feb. Married mom to a 6 yr old. I was at 312 in August and made the decision sept 1... Today weighed in at 279.6! 32 lbs on my own... Finger crossed I get cleared!!!

Fingers crossed I can have mine in February. It is up to my insurance to give me the clear!! If not it will be march or April.
