This comes up on the forums from time to time and I honestly can't relate. I might be guilty of finding very obese people ...invisible, but if I make a personal connection, I feel compassion.
I was at a live music dance with a meetup group. One of the men was very very large, barely walked with a cane. He was so obviously grooving to the music, that I asked him if he wanted to dance. He basically just nodded and tapped his foot to the music, but he was on the dance floor with everyone! I noticed after that, a few other women danced with him too. The way I feel when I see someone in his situation is i empathize and hope they can get the most out of life. I don't feel disgust or pity, but I do feel empathy because I remember how hard it is.

Checking in on my fellow August sleevers. Running into the frustration of being finished before anyone else at the table. Still can only eat about 6 or 7 bites. Working on slowing down each and every time. Think i am down to nearly two minutes a bite lol. Love, love, love my new stomach. It is doing it's job by getting me full with just a little bit. Upped my Protein intake because I have more hair strands in my brush and comb. Have become great friends with cottage cheese, as too many Protein Drinks in a day become tiresome. So far I have lost 44.8 lbs...sleeved 8/29/13. Hope everyone else is feeling better since we are a little further out from our surgery month. Good luck to all.

Ihave thoroughly enjoyed reading all these posts today..they had me ROTFLMAO! But just to put it into perspective for you all...I am still preop and today I ate 6 slices of bacon with 3 eggs and 2 slices of toast..then washed it down with 2 cran-orange mimosos..then I had 6 McDonald's nuggets with a large fry and large coke..and to top off my evening I had a 15oz Ribeye with a BIG baked tater and a salad that would be enough for most of you for a full day. And then had the audacity to have 2 chocolate chip cookies...so long story short your little cheats are so small in comparison to those of us waiting to walk a mile in your shoes. And now I have to climb in bed miserable and over stuffed. God Bless you all for your honesty and truth in this process...

Sometimes I actually want to cry when I get full after 4 - 5 bites. I don't even get to get warmed up b4 I burn out.

Endless80, there is nothing wrong with that question. I am post sleeve 5 days and I think everyday. Oh I hope I can have that one day. Not that I want to eat poorly or go back to what I once ate but I am
Human. Clearly I acknowledge that I needed help. I went through a tough 5 days in MX to have irreversable surgery so that I can change my life style, eat healthier, make better choices and loose weight. That does not mean I am dead!!!!!
    I dislike when people slam
Others for wanting a carb now and again or sandwich. I doubt too many spent the time money and effort to go through this to only eat what we once did

That sounds amazing. I am still on liquids week 3 so any mention of bacon is like food porn to me at this point. lol

I'm just using that as an example. I don't want to never have bread again in my life. For me I would have eaten a 12 inch sub, double meat with a large coke and a bag of chips easily. Now I value simplicity and a simple half a grilled cheese will do.. lol but in moderation, not multiple times a week. Some people get so weird on these forums when you talk about carbs. I feel like I've spent a couple of lifetimes on low carb diets. Now I crave moderation and balance.

I too was sleeved on 8/29. I have seen some early August sleevers say the third week is always a stall-out, but that after that they start losing again. Good luck, and just keep going
