I made it! Surg was Friday and i came home Sunday. I was nauseous from anesthesia but otherwise very little pain. I am only able to get in a few sips and a few bites of food. Hoping i dont get dehydrated but happy its over.

Thanks!!! I talked to Angela and she told me to just do an ounce of food at a time. Ive been doin that and its been working great. I am drinking more too. So happy!

Im so excited!!! I feel like im getting a little sick but think its all mental lol. But took some meds just in case. Its so great to know people are so supportive here (((hugs)))

I did another thyroid test and labs were normal... SURGERY FRIDAY!!!????????????????????????????

Im on day 5 of pre op diet. Lost 8.8 lbs so far. Today i put a bag of frozen baby lima Beans in chicken broth simmered and seasoned lightly. I can have a 1/2 cup yaay.... so good.

Today is my 2 month surgerversary and I'm down 37 lbs so far...

Thanks for your response. I JUMPED on myfitnesspal today to start adding calories. Based on the past week...im starving. So, today I have added more Snacks and a bigger dinner and a gladiator smoothie. Trying my best....we will see what happens.

Oh my goodness... I tell anyone who asks!!! I feel like this surgery saved my life and if me telling my story could save anyone else I don't care who knows. The only reason I am off all 3 bp meds and I don't sleep with the cpap is because a co worked talked about her surgery. I will forever be thankful that she wasn't shy, embarrassed or a private person!!! If she was, I would be hooked up to my auto bp machine asking my husband if we need to take me to the er because of my high BP....

Feeling good. Tomorrow will be one week post op. Due to my insurance being kind of a butt about nexium, I haven't had a acid reducer but my nurse called in prilosec today so I'm going to get that. I hope that makes some sort of difference with the chest pressure and burps. Today is my first day watching my 3 dogs and 16 month old alone so wish me luck!

They changed my date from 10/4 to 10/2!!! Yay!! Im so excited!

I've had some tough times but have not taken a laxative yet, for better or for worse! Eating dry roasted edamame as a Protein source has been very helpful to me. 7 g Fiber in a quarter cup! 14 G protein. I find it very gentle on my digestive track.
