    African American Sleevers

I didn't veer too far off of what I was told- your stomach has to heal. The day before I was supposed to, I was so nauseated even at the thought of another shake and so weak I broke down and had a few spoons of Malto Meal (which after a few weeks of not having food was hands down the most delicious thing I've ever eaten). It was enough to make me dance a jig in my kitchen Other than that I followed all the rules. If you've lost 12 lbs in 12 days that's amazing. You're saying "I've only lost this much"- when else would you lose that much in such a short time? I know it's hard not to just focus on the scale but you have to give your body a chance to adjust and heal. Not counting month one when I was healing, I recall losing approximately 3-4 lbs a week with some weeks not losing anything even gaining and then other weeks losing 6-7 lbs (mind you I'm speaking in weeks not daily weights). I also would not just look at lbs- take pictures. Put them side by side with one of those collage apps you can download and check out the difference. Every week you will see a change in yourself- it's almost like it happens over night. It's pretty amazing- enjoy it!!

FineCaliMexSleever, I see you're a bit further out now (sorry I didn't see the comment until today). I think the only real suggestion/ bit of advice is to make sure to get your head in this and realize what vices got you to the point that lead you to the operating table and keep those things in check. I lose an average 2-3lbs weekly and now am 20lbs from the dietitians goal. It hasn't been that hard for me I'm not going to lie, but I've followed most of the rules also. Now I need to strength train- I have zero muscle!

    African American Sleevers

I haven't been hungry since the 1st week of my official 2 week preop diet (I had to diet longer because my BMI was so high). Postop, my stomach has never growled or signaled physical hunger. And you here people mention head hunger and honestly I'm not sure exactly what that hunger is or what that means. I just get a feeling when I need to eat if I get busy and go too long without eating something. Im 8 months post, and nothing's changed in that aspect since I got my sleeve. I know when I'm starting to get full because I start to salivate more. I have way more oral secretions now and I have to spit it out because I don't want to swallow it and fill my tiny tummy with it. I hate it- not lady like There are so many changes postop that I'm sure your scenario will be different and you will figure it out as you get to know your sleeve.

It was a quick 4 day cruise to Catalina Island and Mexico. I so needed the reboot with everything going on with my dad. I thoroughly enjoyed myself I plan on living life to the fullest from here on out Thank you Raven. She was heavy but the little one was feisty so I lucked out

This was CRAZY!! The hardest physical/mental challenge I've done to date. I did all 5 hanging bridges (It's terrifying) and the ziplines were AMAZZZZING!
