All of my shoes are too big at 7wks post op. From 7.5 women to 6.5 that quick. When I was under a size 10 in the past, I wore 5.5-6 women. Waiting on more changes...lol

Slow loser right hea!!! Hw 242 (2011)..cw 199-200...since surgery 15 pounds. I exercise, eat, and didnt have any complications since surgery. Thinking I should up my calories bc it might not be enough. I will track the remainder of the week.

60 as it would put me in the fat % and BMI for a big bone aa female. And hopefully that's a size 12. I'm just getting into 16 from 24 at start. Most importantly I would be rid of at least three current meds including insulin.

    Thanks for the encouragement guys!!!!
Sometimes it's hard to "see" our progress, but the airplane was irrefutable proof that its working. This was my first flight without my ex-boyfriend, who was average sized. He would always get the seat next to me and raise the armrest so I wouldn't be embarrassed or encroach upon my neighbor. I've heard stories of people being asked to buy a second seat and I've been petrified that it would one day happen to me. I had tears in my eyes when i realized I could sit down comfortably :-)

I was exactly the same way. And when I went to the follow-up with the NUT at the 3 month mark (I went in at 4ish months). I went in all proud that I had my 90 day chart, with my calories, carbs, fats, and Protein all charted out. And then I had a graph of my weight loss, and my measurements weekly for that time. She looked everything over, and asked me how exhausting tracking all of this was for me. I told her it was the new normal. And she shook her head and said it was anything but normal, and that she wanted me to turn off my mfp, and not track anything for 14 days. You know what? I still lost the same 2ish pounds a week, and my sleeve didn't blow up. She explained to me that one of the reasons I got the sleeve was to reduce my portions, and to make good choices, but it was also a tool to help me lose weight, but not lose my mind in the process. I was counting everything that I ate, drank and really stressing about my Water consumption, and my protein consumption. Now that I have stepped away from counting everything, and just eating/drinking good choices, I'm happier, still losing, and the world didn't end. I guess what I'm saying is that you are making choices, and tracking them, why not make the same good choices and not track them for a week or two? Don't stress, relax, and enjoy your trip.

Surgery was 4/23 at 196 lbs and 5'2"- and I am Finally considering myself a true lightweight! im down 57 pounds weighing in at 139 and a size 6! 5 months ago this felt like some unrealistic fantasy but today I tried on my wedding dress that I wore 15 years ago and it fits perfectly! I can't explain the feeling.
It isn't all fairydust though- the hair isn't fairing so well, the reflux truly sucks, also never realized just how many stretchmarks I have ALL over my body- but I'm managing. Small prices to pay!

Update: nausea is gone! Not long after I drank the contrast for the leak test. The contrast was the 1st thing that stayed down. After that I had icepops, Jello, tea and broth, it all stayed down. Thanks to those who prayed for me. I feel much much better. Dr came in a seen me. I told him im ready to go home. He agreed, I went to walgreens and picked up my prescriptions now I'm at home sitting up in bed. The gas pain are still bad, but they come and go....I'm walking around fine, I do have a drain in my belly that the dr will take out oct 10. My total weight loss pre op diet was 10lbs.

Good question. I did not. The biggest chance of a leak, and we do not want a leak....is the first six weeks. I wasn't hungry and was so excited about the surgery, I didn't want to do anything that wasn't on the 'plan'. I always figure, if something bad can happen, why not me!!! LOL
Good luck, week three should probably allow soft food. Go get tortilla Soup at a Mexican food restaurant, tell them more broth, less 'stuff' and just sip the broth. You'll think you're in heaven!
