What is the outfit you dream about wearing after you slim down ?
chrissythemoo replied to leslie1958's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
An itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polkadot bikini! Seriously though, as long as it's figure hugging I don't care what I wear. :-) I absolutely love 3/4 length combats so maybe those with a sleeveless t- shirt and cute trainers. By the time I'm at goal weight it'll be next summer so perfect for that outfit. -

I just read somewhere about a 3 week stall. Is it possible to have this at 2 weeks? That's what seems to have happened to me...... -

Also, anyone had 'slough' on any of their incisions? My surgeon put pressure dressing on after surgery and the bloody nurse on the ward removed it just before I was discharged. Surgeon wasn't happy when he found out and had problems with one side of the incision healing from that point forward. Going back to him tomorrow. Why do people have to interfere! -

I'm having a down moment. Was doing really well and had lost 20lbs post- op. Now, all of sudden I'm gaining and my stomach looks bigger! My diet hasn't changed. Still in the first 3 weeks liquid diet and have even managed to start walking regularly so what's going on? I got my period 2 weeks early just 48 hrs after surgery so wondering if maybe my body is gearing up for another even though it shouldn't be. Any thoughts? -

Ah, my stockings are only knee length anyway. I've not heard of the skin thing. Sounds great. I just ordered some Adonia Stemutone cream. Once my incision has healed I will be applying it twice daily. Apparently it'd fantastic! -

Mine was two nights. I took my laptop, kindle, books etc., and in the end used none of them. Felt rough and slept alot. Just take a book. Clothes wise, night wear, underwear and something loose fitting and comfy to travel home in. -

I love doc Martin. Brilliant! I used to love Dr Who until Matt Smith took over. Hate him and so stopped watching. Yeah Brits, where are you all? -

Why am I ashamed that I had to have WLS?
chrissythemoo replied to gamergirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sadly for me, my extremely judgemental and downright nasty mother managed to find out and basically told anyone who would listen. However, I don't care who knows. I just look at this as another diet. But unlike weight watchers, I paid all the money up front. I have a hormone imbalance and had days where no matter how much I ate I would still be hungry. I simply did what I had to do to put things right and feel no shame at all. Me 1 - mommy dearest 0. Lol! -

Re: protein. Has anyone tried skimmed milk? My surgeon's nurse practitioner said its good for getting protein in. I have a latte for breakfast daily and add milk powder to my soups. It's working for me... -
