Mine is re-establish December 2013 because Dec 2013 is when I will be sleeved and will be starting a new healthier life.

Looking at all the before and after pics are just so freaking AMAZING! Some people don't even look the same which is shocking to me.
CONGRATS to all who made it to their healthy goal weight and WISHING SUCCESS to all on their journey to a healthier weight.
I can't wait to have my surgery now!

I haven't sleeved yet, but I know the things I would appreciate is:
1) able to walk, climb stairs and dance without feeling light headed/dizzy, chest pains and breathing hard.
2) more energy at home and work
3) able to paint my toe nails on my own without feeling like I am breaking my legs.
4) eating healthier
5) crossing my legs
6) clothes fitting
That is all that comes to mind now, but I know after surgery and a couple of months other things I don't realize now will become apparent to me.
Looking forward to being sleeved!

My surgery day was Aug 14th. Day of surgery 222... Today 175

Feeling amazing and Im two days from nine weeks out and got on the scale this morning and seen that im down another 10lbs and at 268. Thats 51lbs in 9 weeks so amazed hy the results wish I would have done this sooner. Any pain, emotional days, frustrations have all been worth it!

I'm about 12 lbs from goal (will revise goal when I get there- want to be a bit smaller). Nothing like some good before & after pics to remind you how you're doing.

Here is mine I'm 10 months post op, my biggest at a size 24 and then at my smallest I have ever been, I wear a size 9 and the first time I've ever worn a dress :-)

So had been stressing about not losing much weight since the surgery (about 4 pounds post op) but had my 2 weeks post op check up and found out my pulse is normal, BP has dropped 20 point and is almost normal and more so my BMI has dropped 5 points since the preop diet. Holy cow feel so much better right now and am so motivated to continue to stick to the plan regardless of what I see on the scale. Let this be a lesson folks, the scale doesn't fully capture your progress so don't freak out if you don't see the numbers you'd like.

I just got notice from the surgery coordinator I'm approved!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :)
I let out a whoop so loud a coworker checked to see if I was OK!
This is SUCH a relief. I was so afraid of denial.

Let's start with the good... I can eat puréed foods. tuna never tasted so good. I'm doing flips here.. Not really in my mind. Haha. Now I need to learn how to separate food and Water better.
Bad. I only lost 10 ibs in 2 weeks!! I was expecting more so my scale lies to me. I'm putting it away and focusing on me now and let the docs weigh me in a month and be shocked

Woo hoo!!! Guess who is in the 160's? This girl is right here!!! It's amazing!!!

Things I will NOT miss about being fat (AKA the main reason I'm doing this)
1. The high risk of a heart attack
2. The high risk of a stroke
3. Diabetes
4. High Cholesterol
5. The chance of not being around to see my kids grow up
Everything else is just gravy.

I will not miss going into a store like Forever 21 or Charlotte Ruse with my teen daughter or to buy for her and people stare like what am I doing on there because nothing in there would even come close to fitting me or they stare and ask am I looking for something.

I echo all of the above, and would add:
* going to any doctor's office and the nurse takes one look and says, "hang on, I'll have to get the large cuff for you."

Feeling good , tummy sore , I walk a lot , hardly drink nothing .. Not hungry and I can't pee yet by myself ..buy all and all happy

I found this VST page and I have gone crazy nuts over all the information here. I am new to the site, and went to several, okay MANY profiles to look at all the profiles, before and afters and stats.

As of this morning I am down 70 lbs. Woohoo!
I started this journey last November when I inquired about weightloss surgery with my pcp. At that time my weight was 289 lbs. I got my referral to my bariatrics team (Dr Gould in Manchester, NH). I went to the info seminar in Dec of 2012. From that point on I started walking with a pedometer and watching what I ate.
After jumping through many hoops and waiting for what seemed like forever I was finally sleeved on Aug. 26th.
I weighed 266 when I started the pre-op diet. The day of surgery I weighed 251. Three days later I weighed 259.
It's been 10 weeks since my surgery and I am now down to 219 lbs. I am really hoping, trying and working towards hitting the 200 lb mark for New Years. But my next goal is actually 215 lbs. That is the weight I was when I met my husband. I am hoping that I will hit that goal sometime next week.
I would also like to thank the many wonderful people on this sight that have be a great support for me through out this journey so far.
