Scale says one thing, clothes say another

You look great! How long did it take for you to start jogging, running after your surgery?
  2. I guess maybe I should ask what my calorie intake should be. The first week home was about 300 cal. Now I'm between 500-700 on puréed but the only thing my dr really focused on was protein and fluids. Thanks, ill call tomorrow.
  3. I haven't had any problem with my fluids
  4. I'm two weeks post op tomorrow and I've had a headache for over a week. Anyone else experiencing this. My Dr said possibly a side effect to less food ( sugars/carb) and smaller stomach

    Tummy tuck today!

So excited for the new you! Hope you stay pain free. Did your insurance pay for the TT?
  6. LipstickLady, first off love the thread and your profile pict. Second, although you ...cheat, what do you normally eat to get the numbers you have.

    9 Months Today

Great job! For those of us just sleeved I'm always curious whar someone who has had such success eats in a day. My NUT gave a very vague outline but no sample menu. Do you mind sharing? And what type of exercise program do you do?

New body but same body image

Fantastic on your 70 lbs! Did you follow the diet and exercise program or make your own, I'm newly sleeved and would love to achieve numbers like that. As for self image, do you attend your post surgery group classes or no. I wonder if those would help you see that what you feel is normal, that people who have lost large amounts of weight have a problem seeing the thinner new person. If seeing pictures helps you see this, then maybe you should post pictures of you thinner everywhere so you train your mind to say, see I am this person now and help with the current self image you have. No one is perfect and we are all unique. Great job you are an inspiration now.

8 months out down 122pounds down

I'm curious, what type of exercise and eating you do to have such an incredible #? You truly look amazing
  11. All the time now that I am on puréed food, ugh!
  12. Besides fresh sourdough, cheesecake could be my downfall.
  13. Drinking one I just crushed the ice in right now. Chike choc and strawberry mixed with unsweetened almond milk. Must admit it makes me want to gulp not sip.
  14. Anyone puréed cheesecake ? I'd love some cheesecake.
  15. Good for you for making the choose to become a loser, this is my advice. Slowly start cutting out the things you binge on and the liquid will be easier to conquer. But yes we all are human and will cheat. Good luck
  16. Wow, sorry you are having such a hard time. Have you been approved for milk of mag yet? If not maybe you should ask, it helped from day 2 for me, and walking, every couple hours. If you can't get liquid try sugar free sorbet or popscicles if they will allow you to have, will help keep you hydrated. Hope you feel better soon.
  17. Awesome. That gives the rest of us new Sleevers hope

    First post op appt

I saw my dr today, he said I am doing amazingly well. I've been moved to puréed stage, I went and got some lentil soup and puréed. I bought 4. oz snack packages and puréed it, then filled each with about 2-3 oz of soup. I ate one to night, no problems so far. Super excited for the next stage. Oh weight lost 9 days post op I lost 17 lbs.

    First post op appt

The puréed phase is nice. My advice is the 4 oz zip lock containers. Fill them half t 3/4 full and that is pretty much all you can eat. You will know when you reach that point, I found out tonight. I went to take another bite and instantly knew if I did it wasn't going to be pretty. Good luck with your next phase.

    Liquid diet..mission impossible?

Take a deep breath and know you are not alone in this, after all that is why you are on this site. Mental state plays a huge roll in this. Just tell yourself you are ready and you will be just fine. If its possible, make a cabinet in your kitchen for you. SF jello, crystal light, miso, broths and protein packets or canisters. I rally like Chike and unjury vanilla. SF Popsicles if allowed each program different. For me the key was drink constantly, water for the most part then the calorie portion every 2 to 3 hours any more than that and I'd get the hungry feeling. We believe in you, so should you.
  21. Omg, loving this. I'm 10 days post op, no major anything except I needed texture at about dayn7 somimhad a teaspoon of peanut butter. Was like heaven.
