    I am also in Southern Maryland. I am just starting my journey, I am due to be sleeved in January. I would love to know where about the individuals are in southern Maryland. Been trying to find someone to be a buddy with and maybe compare notes and get together to exercise or just talk about the experience. I am seeing Dr. Gandsas in Annapolis and so far I like him and his staff.

    Hi I need encouragement and advice. I am 10 months out and starting bad habits...going to starbucks, eating sweets, and not exercising. I am letting my head hunger and emotional eating get the best of me. Any advice would be appreciated. I know I am doing wrong just can't control myself. I have lost 60lbs and still have 15 to go and have not lost in anything in almost 3 months and that is making me upset as well but I know why I haven't lost but that still doesn't help things.

    Acampbell- not sure if this will help but have u tried looking back at what youve been eating? How about ur workouts. Maybe change them up a little. Howany cal r u eating a day. Try raising or lowering depending on how much ur eating. When i hit a stall for almost 4 wks i was told to up my cal intake. Apparently i was starving my body cuz i work out so hard. I did and witholin 3-4 days i was losing again. They say about every 6 wks ur body adjusts to what ur doing so we should change things up on our diet and exercise to keep ur body guessing amd losing.     I agree with what @@jessiquoi said. Even though I have not had surgery yet I have been on enough diets in my lifetime to know that you just have to get back on the horse. Don't beat yourself up as it doesn't solve anything and only makes you feel worse and then you eat more - its a vicious cycle that needs to be stopped. Yesterday is over and this is a new day so just start again : ) Good luck!

    you are doing very well, and are so close to your goal! you know that the closer you get, the harder it is to lose... that's even with following your food plan perfectly. sit down and look back over your progress, and i bet you'll get all excited again and back on track as you remind yourself how far you've come. don't beat yourself up, what's done is done... focus on now and tomorrow.

    You ate more than you wanted on one day. One day is not going to make or break you. Look at how many days you've been on your journey and commit to do better each day. Forget about eating the muffin and the hash browns because you can't change it now and beating yourself up about it is just going to bring negativity in and you don't need it.
    Stay on track and it'll be nothing but a "I slipped once, too!" story you can tell to someone else who needs to hear about success.

    You fall off, you get up and get right back on that bicycle! I have not had the surgery yet, and already I am spending a lot of time worrying about failing....gotta' stop that and spend more time praying about it. Prayers going up for you too!

    Don't let the negativity take you further down. Make tomorrow - or your next meal - an opportunity to turn things around. My advice it to stay away from carbs as they (for me and many others at least) will trigger you to crave more. Try to re-establish your good habits that helped you lose so much weight - such as no snacking, high Protein meals, limit sweets/high fat foods, etc. You have a tool now that will help you get back on track. You've done so well - give yourself credit for all the great work and your ability to get back on track. You can do it!

    sorry I posted yesterday that my weight was 146 but today it is 147.5 so I guess use that number I don't know what happened with yesterday's weigh in.
