My surgeons surgery scheduler called me at 7:30 tonight and we set my date. I'll be getting sleeved on December 16th! HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY!!!!

So I contacted the person conducting my appeal tomorrow at 10:30 and advised I do want to join in via conference call. I am so nervous I couldn't sleep at all last night!! I have been waiting so long I'm sick over this!
I have Aetna at time of 1st submission I was at 40 BMI with one comorbid of HPT but the previous two yrs had been under 40 with no comorbids so I was denied. Since my denial I went and had sleep study and have sleep apnea so now am at 40 with 2 comorbids let's see what they say! Wish me luck guys!!!!

So excited...insurance approved,all testing completed..going to see surgeon tomorrow to go over last questions before scheduling surgery..only downside I will have to wait until January 2014 to be sleeved...trying to remember patience is a virtue

Hey girl Oct 16th in the house!!! That's my date too. I'll be taking optisource Multivitamins (chewable), calcium citrate (chewable), Biotin 10,000 mcg, and maybe a sublingual B12.
Are you on a pre-op diet?

Sleeved on September 23rd! and doing great! I was amazed that I had no complications but I should have expected no less when I put my trust and faith in God. My hospital stay was a wonderful. Virginia Hospital Center is the best!!! A sarcoidoisis survivor I had no complications what so ever. I am down 17 lbs. so far. The pain has eased up and I am anxious to get into the gym but for now I will stick with walking everyday. Not off the steriod though but down to 5 mgs. This seems to make my weightloss slower but that's okay too.
So to those of you who are getting ready to be sleeved ... you are in my prayers!

I am taking a multi Vitamin, Calcium, Vitamin D, and Iron, all Adult gummies. My Doctor had products in his office but those chewable vitamins did not agree with my new tummy. He advised me to buy what works best for me. I am using all Kroger brand. They agree with me and I have tons of energy. Sending blessing your way. I'm excited for you. Please check back so that I can hear your Victories!

I can only tolerate children's flinstone vitamins and I do a B-12.

Thank you so much for your encouraging words. This forum has been such a blessing to have the support from others that understand. I will be sending up prayers for you on 10/23 that your procedures go well and that you have a speedy recovery..I have a little longer on my journey as my health insurance approved me, but I have a $2500 co insurance for my procedure. Which is ironic as I work for the hospital that I am having the surgery done. But I am planning for 12/2/13. My current weight is 215 I'm 5'3" with a BMI of 38.1 I have type 2 diabetes, HBP,High Cholesterol, Asthma and sleep Apnea (so ready to drop those ailments) Please keep us updated with your progess. Aetna has 14 days to respond to the request for approval. It took exactly 14 days for Aetna to notify my surgeon of approval.
I have a bmi of 45 and have been over 40 for the past 2 years, but have no co morbidities.
My surgery is scheduled for Oct 11th. I'm so excited.

Oct. 16th is my day! ????
