What do you have to include when your doing an appeal? Did your surgeon do a peer-to-peer review with the medical director before having to do an appeal? Wanted to get a jump start in case I get denied. Thanks for any information anyone can give me!

It did because I got retested for H-pylori and it came back positive after I finished taking my PrevPak. My PCP ordered me to take an endoscopy to make sure that the test was not a false positive test. My surgeon's office did not schedule me to do an endoscopy when they schedule my other various test I had to do. -

When I did my initial testing with the surgeon's office they told me there I had H-Pylori. I showed no symptoms and it was news to me that I got diagnosed with it. That PrevPac is nasty but what I can tell you is if it doesn't work you have to get an endoscopy and a biopsy has to be done of your stomach to double check you don't have. You will be fine! -

Has anyone had their bloodwork come back positive for H. pylori?

I tested positive twice for h-pylori. I know have to go to a gastroenterologist to see what's going on with my stomach. I never was tested by my PCP and if I was not going for this surgery I don't know how long I would've had this issue. I have not shown any symptoms of having this. Hopefully this doesn't derail my gastric sleeve procedure. -
