  1. Hmmm definitely mourning gorging myself - although that's what got me in this mess in the first place and is quickly overcome when you can get onto normal food. Be careful not to graze though. It's easy to graze on things you like. It takes a helluvalot of willpower not to. Acid reflux. It sucks monkeys balls. Bread -I am still an addict. Couldn't give a rats about pasta/rice/potatoes. Bread? I still adore it and can sadly still eat it. Alcohol. I can still drink a pint of carbonated cider or Guinness. I drink too many of them. If I didn't, I might be a bit lighter than I am now. Other than that.. My butt is considerably smaller. I can run. I wear smaller clothes. I have PCOS of which the symptoms have eased. I'm not half as sick as I was before the surgery. There are some hard bits.. It does take willpower. The honeymoon period doesn't last forever... But.. it is all sooooooooooooooo worth it.
  2. I, personally, think you're full of it. If you had the proof to hand and the 'analysis' already done, you'dve been able to quickly and adeptly retrieve the said 'similar sentences', copy and paste them and highlight where, the tone and nuances were identical. You have not. You have glossed over it, thereby becoming 'as bad' as someone who makes wild statements without the wherewithal to back them up. For someone who professes to be ex LE, I find that hilarious. Huge difference between 'evidence' and 'intelligence', darlin' - or was that a bit above your paygrade? I wouldn't stand up in court and say 'well its out there, you do your own research' to the jury. Nor, should you here. All I could say is 'I'd love to have been a criminal on your watch'! ' But wait! Silly me! There is already one on your watch, isn;t there, love
  3. I'm still patiently waiting for the text analysis I requested. As it stands, all I can see is tumbleweed...

    mood swings

Yep, it's all part of the craziness that is VSG surgery! You're not going mad, honey. Give it a couple of weeks and you'll be bouncing around like tigger!

    slow weight loss

If you have a look for the thread 'don't sweat the Stall stuff', it should answer every question to which you're concerned right now. Don't fret, the weight loss will happen, my dear
  6. Is this true? Wow. Do, please, as I'm interested and I, too, like analysing texts; could you provide us with a composite cut and paste with the relevant sections identified and directly contrasted? Just so I can see what you're on about. Many thanks.
  7. Just a thought... I haven't got a partner who has a weight problem or had surgery... But, if you have a little weight to lose, too, how about following his diet plan with him? It'll obviously have to be different post surgery for the first 6 or so weeks (and he will be a bit sore and a tad grumpy), but when he hits the Protein first, veg second, low carb, low sugar and careful and healthy fats; it may do all of you the world of good! You'll be able to share his moments of 'OMG, what was I thinking?!!!' (well, to a degree - minus the hardcore portion control bit!) All said and done, although his emotional struggles will definitely rear its head (which won't be permanent!), if you get in the trenches together, I would have thought it will only serve to make you both and as a family a whole lot stronger. You're a good wife for asking. Most, don't. I wish you all the absolute best of luck

I can see the finish line!

Well done you! I'm close to goal, too, but it's taking a long time getting there.... Maybe if I stopped trucking down pints of Guinness and Cider...
  9. What I have learned from all this is you have yet to contribute anything relevant to this thread. Ha! That just made me laugh out loud!

    Need serious advice

I have migraines. I have been on Maxalt, Tylenol with Codeine and antacids when I get an attack. To be fair, the Maxalt melts make me feel 'mongey', if that makes any sense? But if I take the other stuff with it, I get through. Strangely though and since I have given up a large proportion of the processed carbs I used to eat? I don't get them as much. I have perhaps had 4 whoppers in 10 months and if I'm honest, that has either been due to excess stress (and I have had a fair amount) or I have drunk a little too much and then two days later.. BOOM! That's very good for me. I would ask your doctor for alternatives. I would also (just a thought), try to get off those Percocet and Vicodin. They're addictive and no good for you long term. Do the preliminary research and get advice from your doctor.. But you may well, as RJ said, be surprised how your migraines abate once you've had the surgery. Best of luck!

    NSV & officially overweight

    Awesome NSV! Well done, you!
  13. I'm with Lipstick Lady on this one. So what? It could save your life. Woman-up, Sista. There are worse things in life than having to smear a bit of poop on a piece of cardboard, a finger or camera tube, close to the dimensions of a Ford F-150XLT shoved up your jaxsie if it saves your life. If it's required, it is the gateway to you getting your surgery. No brainer as far as I'm concerned.
  14. <bashes her head against the desk - ad infinitum, ad nauseum>
  15. Oh, I totally get you - and agree.. But you kinda missed the point of the post, dear
  16. Me, neither. Maybe it's about age groups and subliminal influence... Anyone remember the 70's?!

  20. Stop the presses! He's married? The Fabulous Omar is currently married and has 3 kids? Seriously? Is that true? I don't think he is married unless he's separated. He works really long hours and we all spoke to him a lot and he never mentioned being married. Not saying he's not but I certainly didn't get the impression he had a family at home. Duh! You really think he would announce his marital status? Duh! What an enlightening comment from such a mature person. As I said, he may very well be married but a group of us including a husband went out to dinner with him twice and had great conversation about our families since we all had kids. He didn't have a shot with any of us and still didn't chime in with anything about a wife or children. He did mention feeling sorry for his German Shepard that he rarely gets to see due to long hours. Go do your research people... It's all out there. Like chlamydia to the masses....

    HELP - paniced husband

I think every woman on this website sighed a big *awww, he's adorable* on reading that. Careful there, fella. You'll end up getting yourself a cult following. Either that, or a load of stalkers Only kidding. All the advice you require is up there ^^^^^ if you have any further questions or queries, there's not a person on the planet who won't run to your aid. Well done, you. Your wife is a lucky lady
  22. I'm sure his wife and what? 3 kids? Would be elated to read this thread. My heart goes out to his wife and family. THEY do not need this. THEY deserve better.

    Hair loss

More Iron ladies. Whatever supplements you're taking to supplement your iron levels - treble it. Eat more red meat. There is no substitute for it - red meat rocks. I was advised to do this by my doctor. The moment I did, the hair loss abated and is now growing back apace. As with everyone else, my hair started falling out at 3 months, was bad 4-6.5/7 months and is now growing back like little weeds. Biotin supplements? Did nothing for me.. Other than to make my thighs and belly very very hairy. Ewww...
