Well ladies had my first visit with dr Scarborough at tlc today, and a little excited now. Come to find out uhc does want 6 month weight loss supervised diet but it does not have to be consecutively! Yay! Also they diet with physician can go back 2 years, so I no I have 2 months covered for sure. I no have to do 4 months with dietitian a psych eval and a egd. I'm hoping to have surgery in December so I dnt have to meet my deductible all over again. Dr says we have pretty good chance as long as I do appointment with dietitian this month September October an November we can submit. Getting excited!

I am only 6 days post op with PCOS, but I can say that on the 4th day post op, I actually started showing signs of getting my period back (been gone for four months now). I have also lost 9 pounds so far! Hope many of my other PCOS issues go away as easily as these first ones. The disease is one of the main reasons I chose to do the surgery. I am insulin resistant as well. Good luck, keep us posted!!

I have pcos and this was the main factor for me to get this surgery done. My husband and I have been married 5 years now. Tried since day 1. Had tests done low and behold I have pcos. Couldn't afford fertility drugs at the time so we just got to the point "if it happens, it happens". I'll be 31 in August. My clock is ticking here. Our eggs lose quality as we age. Had the sleeve on 4/16 and down 70 pounds. Started my period which I didn't have for two years. Have actually had two now. Normal periods. Now on birth control so I don't get preggo too early. We all know we barely eat enough to keep us going, let alone another person growing inside us. I was told by my surgeon to wait 18 months. My pcp who is a fnp used to work for a wl center and said 12-18 months. So April/may/June next year we are going to start trying again. I honestly don't have that much time to wait. As I said my clock is ticking!!

Your so lucky that u don't have to do supervised diet! The only part I dnt like about it is its a 6 month process and I dnt wanna wait 6 months

CONGRATS!! I have UHC too but i'm not required to do the 6 month supervised diet (THANK GOD)!! I'm just starting my appointments but I plan to have them all complete by the time I see my nut on 8/30....GOOD LUCK!!

I am a 33 year old mother of 2 living in FL. I have been watching so many Post Op videos on YouTube and reading a lot about the sleeve. I am so eager to have this done... I am ready to be healthy, be happy and enjoy life. I have UHC .. I collected all my doctor monitored weight loss attempts these past few years and also weight watchers weight loss sticker booklet. I really hope this will cover the physician supervised diet requirement. I have my first appointment with my surgeon Aug 26th.. it so far away I was told they will contact me if someone cancels their appointment to get me in before Aug 26th.. I really hope someone cancels. I want to get to the approval process already.
I do have a question... Has anyone lost their hair? if so .. when did it start and when did it stop.. I am terrified
