1. Bless you. You are living testament to how difficult this whole situation hands. I struggle every day. I'm not anywhere near my goal weight but I am 64 pounds closer than I was. I'm impressed with how much exercise you can't, I've never been a runner I'm never desired to run but I want to be healthy. Wish you nothing but happiness and success bless you sweet one.

Thank you so much for your sweet reply! I wish you lots of luck as well! I see in your username you're in Texas. What area do you live in? I live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area!

  2. My general practitioner said he is concerned with my desire to keep losing weight. He said if I lose another 10 lbs and still feel like I need to lose more, than he wants to see me again to evaluate to body image issue. I just feel like I need to lose so much more. I am going to talk to a therapist soon though.

And thank you very much for the compliment!

  3. I think you have dysmorphic disorder.
I do have to say that part of you knows you are thin because you are wearing hot clothes and taking pictures. And you put on a bikini even!!
It's like a fun house mirror in my head most of the time. I will probably be the same way, rocking a hot dress one day and then seeing a fat woman in the mirror the next.
Our eyes play tricks on us, as does our brain.

Some days I think "wow! I look awesome!" Then the next day or even an hour later I see every ounce of fat and imperfection. I'm proud of what I've accomplished thus far but I can't stop seeing how much more I need to loose. I just keep thinking 20, 30 more pounds.

  4. Anybody else look in the mirror and still see a very overweight person? I've lost 110 pounds, am at a healthy weight, my friends, family, and the doctor says I've done great, but I look in the mirror and see someone overweight. All I can think is that I need to keep losing but I can't seem to lose any more now. Has anybody else felt this way about their body image?

  5. I see that you did this about a month ago. I am starting Day 1 today. This is the first time that I'm trying it. I had my surgery a little over a year and a half ago. I'm half way to goal. I'm hoping this will lend to the feeling of restriction & eliminate a couple of bad habits that I've picked up. Were you able to stick through the 5 days? Did it help you get a feeling of more restriction back? Did it really help jump weight loss & reset your eating? I would love any feedback as I'm already dreading just 5 days & am so hoping that it's worth it. Thanks!

I am on day 3 of the pouch test. The first two days of liquid diet were a lot harder than I remember the liquid diet being initially. I was a little light headed and weak by the end of day two. But this morning starts soft Protein so I had a hard boiled egg for breakfast and I definitely feel more restriction in my sleeve today. And the best part, I'm already down 3 pounds!

I did make it through all 5 days and I did lose a couple pounds. I'm at 165 and a size 6 right now. When I started the test I was about 167 and I dropped to 163. But I'm sticking now at about 165 so I'm trying to cut carbs out to lose a little more. I do feel like some of my restriction returned and it helped me to remember exactly how to use this tool. I recommend it but make sure you get enough calories in so you're not too light headed.

  7. My weight loss has pretty much come to a halt for the past few months. I'm a little over a year out. But I would still like to lose 15-20 more pounds. So I'm hoping this will jump start a little more weight loss and also help me regain some restriction in my sleeve.

  8. You look absolutely amazing! Wear that bikini!

Do you have any workout tips? Im a week and a half post op and I need to start exercising.

Seriously. Wear. That. Bikini.

Thank you! I wore it to the lake today and it felt AMAZING!

Congrats on your surgery! The first week was definitely the hardest for me and it just got easier from there. My exercises of choice are Spin classes and Bodypump classes. Weight training is very important so don't forget that. But take exercise slow this early on in your journey. Wait til your doctor clears you and go as slow as your body tells you to for now. It was hard for me to get used to exercising on such low caloric intake.

    You'll do great!
