Last night was my first melt down since I had this surgery.....I told my husband I did not want to do this anymore...I felt so under pressure this past week.....4 times I went places that have dealt with me as a customer and no one recognized me...It was fun the first couple of times but then it started to get annoying.
Then I was in a shop with my daughter and she lost me, I was almost standing right in front of her and she did not recognize me....
This past week, my daughter would not stop staring at me....She kept making comments about how proud she is of me....That's okay....But everyone watched how much I ate and watched me eat....I was made to try on clothes which I hate doing and found that some of them I can't wear because I missed them..oops...
My husband said oh, I can't believe you ate that much fish..Would not have thought you could fit it in your sleeve.....I looked at him and asked if he thought I was eating too much...He said no..I am just surprised!....This set me off....As that night I decided I was only eating fish for dinner.< /p>
Last night I told him that the pressure is getting too much that people who are supporting me are smothering me and watching everything I do!
This is all strange to me as well as it is for them....I am not used to becoming a smaller me.....
I just want to do this for me and it is like what ever they say or do is driving me up the wall......

Hi I wanted to see if I can find a sleeve buddy to talk to that is having it Aug. I don't know really anyone who has had this and thought we could do this together .Thanks-Elisa

So had surgery yesterday and have to say, so far I have had no discomfort at all. I suspect once they stop the pain meds it will b a different story, but I'm grateful that these first 24 hours have been 10 times easier than I thought they would be.
Here's hoping you guys have this same experience.

How are all the aug 1st folks doing????a little discomfort but not nearly as bad as I thought!!!praying for speedy recovery for you ladies!!

The FB group should be set to "secret", and it won't show up at all to friends. Your joining, etc. is kept totally private. No one can search the group either! I'm a member of another one for a volunteer leadership group I'm in. HTH!

I realize that all the Protein Shakes seem to bother my stomach and make me run to the bathroom. I have been having all different Soup broths and I put a Protein shot in so you cant taste it. You can get them at Walmart. . It's small but has a lot of protein 26 grams.

I was sleeved 6/7/13. I will be starting my 3rd month 8/7.
Right before my surgery I was in a 20w pant and weighed 205. I'm short and pear shaped. Today I went and tried on pants and I got into a 16 misses and I now weigh 171. WoooHooo!!!!!! :0)

Yay! Congrats!!! I go in for pre-admission testing tomorrow.

I attended my Pre-Admission Testing today and all is well. I am ready for this Friday.

It sounds like you need to take an Iron pill. This happens to me all the time then I take 1 pill a day and feel better.
