    I am regaining! Help!

Me too! Is anyone making positive changes? Like going back to basics...tracking food, water, exercise? I injured my hip three months after surgery and the more weight I've re-gained the harder it's been to exercise - even simple walking. My family is joining a gym nearby this weekend. I'll start slow and see how it goes. I'm determined to get the momentum back!

    July VSGers... How's it going?

Hey there! Doing well here too. Surgery was July 5th and down 56 lbs total. Finally settling into some sense of normalcy with eating. Have hit the gym a few times in the past three weeks with no issues. I'm down 2-3 sizes depending on the brand and am feeling really good. I think it's probably easier for others to see it before we do. But that's just my opinion. Keep up the good work sounds like you're doing great!

    Anybody else feel like this?

I can totally relate to you gatorgirl! And two months out I am SO glad I did this. I too see others losing faster but know I'm in this for the long haul and however long it takes...as long as I am still losing steady I'm good with it. Are there days I miss some of my pre-op ways, yes, but I wouldn't change anything and those pre-op habits and ways robbed me of a good quality of life for 30 years. I'm starting to get that back and am enjoying my life again. Food no longer controls me! That's such a great feeling!
  5. It was normal for me. I started wondering if my stomach was ever going to feel "normal" again. It was around the three week mark before I stopped worrying.

    Scheduled... but questioning...

Hi, just now read your post and reply. I don't see that you've had surgery yet, or tried again after the first attempt. I'm praying for you that you'll make the right decision for you. I was scared up to the second the mask went over my face...to the moment I was waking up from the surgery and wondering what in the world I had just done to myself. 51 pounds later I can't believe I waited as long as I did. It's a huge decision to make and even though I had made peace with myself that the outcome was in God's hands, I was still questioning my decision and confusion as to why I couldn't just "do this on my own". Now that I'm almost two months out I realize the damage I had done to my stomach and the reason it was almost impossible to maintain any amount of weight-loss I was able to achieve without surgery. Hang in there!

    Eating too much?

I was sleeved on July 5th and am just now eating chicken, chewed very thoroughly, and I can't get much down at a time. I too had a fairly easy time with liquids. Hopefully we're normal.

    Short lived

As others have posted I too can't imagine how painful this is for you. Praying for you as you begin the healing process. SO very sorry for your loss!

I'm doing really well! Eating cottage cheese and pears, scrambled eggs and cheese. I'm trying new food pretty slowly just in case but so far so good.

I think I'm doing great but we'll see after tomorrow. I'm getting wimpy about having the stitches out especially the super tender one..ugh! I haven't heard of the nausea when transitioning to the next stage of foods. I sure hope that doesn't last long for you.
  11. I've been taking it for almost two weeks. I haven't had to break it apart but can if I need to mix it with food or liquids. I take it twice a day.

Hi Shannnno!! July 5th here and going for my 2-week post-op tomorrow. How are you doing?
  13. francie348

    Water!

Congratulations!! I agree with LonghornNiner, don't worry about who knows or thinks what, just concentrate on taking care of yourself and recovering! It will come in time if you decide to share your story. I am 4 days post-op and feeling better each day! I only shared with a few key people closest to me what I was doing. I will know if and when it's time to share with others. You made a huge step to do something to better yourself physically, etc, and you are in control of when and who knows. Hang in there, and follow your surgeons orders to the T! I wish you all the best during your recovery!
