Surgery Aug 29th down 24 pounds but since I started changing my habits before surgery I am down 39 pounds. So I am feeling really good back does not hurt when I stand for a long period of time. I can walk up the stairs using each stair instead of taking one at a time. My clothes are fitting better and some things are to big. So this is so worth it.

August 27, 13..... 46 pounds down.....Feeling good

Since surgery on 8/26 I have lost 29lbs. Nearly 7wks out and I usually eat 3, 4oz meals per day and usually no Snacks. Only drink Water, crystal light, and Powerade zero. I manage about 40g Protein and 40oz water per day.

I had my surgery yesterday. All went well. It only took about an hour, which surprised me. I spent the night in ICU and I'm now finally in my own room. Already drinking Water and did my first leak test. The pain isn't horrible so far. I hope all the other 8/29 sleeves are doing well too.

Surgery 8/28 was a success! Came home last night and I still have quite a bit of gas still but I'm doing fine! Doctor said it was ok to take Gas X so I'm hoping that it will help get rid of the rest of the gas along with my walking.

I know what you mean nat, 15 days out I tried to eat a piece of moist chicken with BBQ Sauce. Big mistake too. stood in the bathroom for 15 min with nausea. Luckily it stayed down but I learned my lesson ! LOL Mushy food for us!

I'm almost 50 and was just sleeved Monday. I too am looking forward to a healthier me! Glad I stumbled on this forum.

That's great news! I am 51 and was sleeved 8/8 !!! My goal is to be healthier too and be off meds.

You deserve better then that. Sounds like she wasn't a true friend to begin with. Cut your losses hon and move on to some real friends.

Good decision, as hard as it may be. With friends like her, who needs enemies? Your TRUE friends are there for you, cheering you on every inch and pound you lose. Sounds like she could just be jealous, too. Move on. And CONGRATS on how far you've come!! Keep it up!
