  1. Ok im feeling frustrated at this point and a little disappointed. I woke up this morning emotional and discouraged. I think im doing everything im supposed to I get 70 to 90g of Protein in and walk just about everyday and the scale just will not move!! The whole point of me getting the sleeve was to start seeing some results from my hard work because pre op due to my thyroid issuse id do what I was supposed to with little to show for it! Now im even more focused and expecting to see results and nothing!! Sooo frustrating!!! Honesty im over it today...tomorrow is another day and I will try to maybe incorporate more exercise and Water intake... :-/....sorry just needed to vent!

I woke up feeling the exact same way! I stood on the scale this morning and prayed that it would move. Nothing. This has been about 11 days now. It is so depressing but my husband is ready to hide my scale from me! Ugh...

  2. You look great! When I had my psych eval before surgery, the therapist explained to me that it's really common after WLS to still see a heavier person looking back at you. She said the body loses the weight so fast that it takes awhile for the brain to catch up and acknowledge the weight loss. Made sense to me! I can only hope I lose as much!

  3. I was rushing this morning with my two yr old trying to get to daycare and work and mindlessly scarfed down 1/2 slice of toast with cream cheese.:-/ ...As soon as I realized it' date=' I just new id pay for what I had just done but thank God it was uncomfortable for a few minutes but it passed quickly....Has anyone ever done something like this, just briefly forgot they had a sleeve?... For me things have gotten back to normal so sometimes I have to remind myself if not my Sleeve will and I hate when that happens!![/quote']

Just did it a few days ago and my original post was similar to yours! I was cutting watermelon and "sampling" piece after piece and then it hit me. I almost dropped to my knees and shortly thereafter was in the bathroom vomiting. That was my lesson this week but I'm still surprised that for one moment I had completely forgotten I had surgery. Old habits die hard I guess! I'm sure you will be fine too!

  4. Little movement on the scale finally today! Transition is going fairly well for me however today I was cutting up watermelon, which I love, and just absolutely forgot I just had surgery and started eating piece after piece while I continued to cut. About piece 4 it hit me and shortly after, the sleeve said "what have you done?" Followed by BARF! Let that be a lesson to me!

  5. It's great to be home. I've taken my first shower starting sipping my Water. I got my two tums down this morning waiting until 9 for the Multivitamin. Not to be gross I've even passed gas I'm so happy. I can feel it making its way down in my system but its such a relief as it passes' date=' it takes so much pressure off my stomach.

Home care nurse is due at 10 so I'm up and about getting some walking in.

    Have a great day sleeves![/quote']

It is a sad but great feeling to be rid of that gas pain! Best of luck in your recovery!!

  6. Is anyone else having trouble with diarrhea on the post-op liquid diet? My nurse cleared me to take a probiotic this morning. I am at the point that I can barely leave the house.

I was the same way and they sent me for a stool sample the first week. Nothing wrong just apparently the way my system is NOT handling the changes that surgery made. I am now 2 weeks out of surgery and it has greatly improved but it still happens once a day. I'm with you, I did not want to leave the house either. At least now I wait for that one time and I'm free to leave! Little consolation I know but I can hope it continues to get better. Good luck!!

  7. I feel the same way because both Water and the puréed stage foods almost feel like they are going down too well. Calorie intake is averaging about 600 per day. I always wonder if I am stretching my sleeve. I wonder if I will be the only only who a sleeve won't work on and I won't lose weight. Crazy thoughts I guess!
