    at the hospital!

Best of luck for all those out getting sleeved today!!
  4. Hi all. Please tell me that it is normal to experience post-op weight gain! After being pumped full of liquids before I was sent home plus swelling in the abdomen I am 10 lbs up. I am getting in my required liquids daily and also am walking, usually each time I take a dose of my medicine. Thanks for any tips/thoughts, etc!

    Immediate post op weight gain?

Oh good (okay not that any weight gain is good). I was hoping this wasn't just me. My husband was sleeved last year and I didn't recall him gaining post op weight. I'm assuming at some point it will go back down. I started to think I was perhaps the one crazy person that the sleeve would not work on! Thank you!

    July 8th sleevers!

I was sleeved yesterday. I'm doing really well getting enough fluids in and taking my walks. Was discharged this morning and got to take my first walk of the day out in the sunshine. I have that same darned gas bubble but the more I walk it does seen to be improving. I'm still really sore in the abdomen but nothing that I can't control with my pain meds. Glad you are doing so well too!

    Vsg on july 8th

I had my sleeve done yesterday as well. I was told that I can have Popsicles, jello and broth in addition to my normal liquids. My pain levels are subsiding but the gas pain is awful!

    Any july 8 sleevers?

Same here!! Pain has subsided a great deal with the help of the liquid roxi. I've managed to get in roughly 18 ounces of fluid as well and several wallks. Wishing happy thoughts and speedy recoveries to all!
  10. So I'm now sleeved. I woke up in quite a bit of pain but they are keeping the pain meds up to keep it under control. Now sipping my water and apple juice. The doctor complimented me on a perfect liver. Back to get more rest. How are the rest from today doing??

Tomorrow is the day for several of us!

Just think, what a wonderful gift you are giving them both in a new, healthier mommy! I am so excited that I'm sitting here in awe looking at my suitcase after I started this process a long 8 months ago. It's finally here! Wow....

    Any july 8 sleevers?

Sounds like we all have the same jitters. Last night I dreamt about surgery every time I dozed off. I have to admit I did not get much sleep. Good luck tomorrow everyone. C'mon Monday 11am!

    Any july 8 sleevers?

It's so strange the difference in pre-op diets. But come Monday, we are all in the same place. Beginning a whole new healthier journey. Good luck to my fellow 8'ers! =)

    1 day 12 hours...of being fat

Feeling the same way tonight. I cannot believe I am one full day away from this finally happening. For me, going through the 6-month supervised diet prior to approval is when I made myself sick with worry. I think I had convinced myself that the insurance would deny me. Now I just can't wait. I'm ready to get through this surgery and the subsequent pain and move forward with the new skinny me!!! Think positive thoughts. We are all in this together!!!

    July 2013 sleevers

Welcome Lisa! Good luck to you too!!
  19. I am on day 11 of my pre-op protein/Low carb diet. I'm down 5 1/2 lbs and have not cheated either. I've been allowed 40 carbs and I have been very diligent at keeping it there or below. Try not to worry, I'm sure your surgery will go off without a hitch! I'm so ready for Monday. I haven't heard of anyone's surgery being stopped due to the pre-op diet unless of course someone were to keep eating the carbs and fail at following the diet. Good luck!!

    Any july 8 sleevers?

I know I'm ready! Started packing yesterday since it was a good distraction to those eating that "bad for you but yet so delicious" food! I only packed a comfy pair of PJ's, robe, slippers, Chapstick, something to wear home, my favorite blankie and my iPhone charger. That just about covered my husbands needs when he went through this last year. My turn! Good luck everyone!!!
