I had surgery 7/9 to date I have lost 40 lbs. But stalled several times, which was very frustrating. I spoke will the facilitator of our support group and found out thst I wasnt eating enough. Also needed to change up my exercise .
How many calories are you eating? Just curious I eat any where from 600 -1200 on any given day.

I feel like I am loosing slowly but I average about 2.8 pounds a week. I usually gain a pound or two and lose the same pounds during that time of the month..., I dread that week because I never loose weight then...11 weeks out tomorrow 31 lbs down

Honestly drinking Water and excerise. I think with some stalls you just have to wait them out. I kept a close watch on my calories and tried not to over do it with carbs. Anytime I ate over 800 calories I got on the eliptical. I have been eating the same things for Breakfast and lunch for over a week. Greek yogurt for Breakfast and a ready made tuna pouch that was 100 calories with either a mini babybel or a half of avocado. dinner was basically whatever I wanted. I cut out the Protein shakes because they don't fill me up and I ending up eating food a little bit afterward which increased my calories quite a bit.

Finally broke my stall!!! I'm so excited! 2 more lbs... Gone. On another good note, this weekend I went shopping with my husband and discovered I can now wear a size large top! It's so weird because at my heaviest I was a 2xl. I've always thought those who could wear size large were normal sized women. It's hard to think of myself that way... I'm still amazed that I can even fit into a size large! The best is yet to come

I was Sleeved July 4th with Dr. Garcia at florence. I have had no complications. He is very knowledgeable and skilled. Honestly you don't get to seem him much though. I was really impressed with his staff. I'm down 13 Lbs. I had a stall at the beginning of my 2nd week, but I read and decided I needed to up my Protein. I am trying to get in 90 grams a day. I have been doing this drinking one gladiator smoothie from smoothie king (45g protein) and one Isopure a day. The rest I get from soft food. If you have any questions about, I would be more than happy to answer them

Feeling much better, just trying to take it easy. One of my incisions is still very sore but the rest are healing nicely. Everything I eat or drink brings stomach gurgles .. It's so embarrassing because they are loud. I can usually get in one or two spoonfuls of Soup before the fireworks begin

Yes I am in Mexico now.

Safety shouldn't be an issue, you may need someone to help you though after surgery. The nurses here are really great though so if you have to come by yourself you will be well taken care of!

The very sweet July 4th surgery ladies just stopped by my room as I wait (I'm last today!) enjoyed commiserating about what's to come. Great to meet you, and see you out there in the halls tonight...I will try not to moan too much
It was nice meeting you as well. Was in the hallway as you came out of surgery... I know waiting was the worst. See you in the hallways soon

12 hours post op.... Some pain round my drain. The Gas pain was horrendous though... I'm not going to lie. Had it in my back, stomach and chest... I was begging nurses to walk but had to lay for an hour and then sit in a chair for 20 mins before they would let me. I was in absolute agony. The gas pain has been bar far the worst. When I went in for surgery did not see Dr. Garcia until post op. He's excellent Dr. Though. Not hungry at all just extremely thirsty and achy. Waiting for my leak test so I can have some Water

I'm in lucky 13! Come visit me when you are up to it! How much longer for you? These stockings suck by the way!!!!
Yes these stocking suck big time. I'm guessing no longer than an hour. Shauna should be out of surgery by now. It takes awhile to clean up the OR room so I hear.

Yes everyone is awesome. I feel really at ease. Can't wait to get this show on the road

Hi everyone!! Thank you for your thoughts of me, they must have worked because I am feeling pretty good now. The first 8-10 hours were the worst, I had terrible nausea (thank God for Zofran) and the horrible chest pain from the gas. The Doc pretty much told me I had to walk it out, so that is what I have done. Every 1-2 hours I get up, tie up my gown so my booty isn't hanging out, grab my IV pole, and down the hall I go. I usually nap between walks. I am feeling SO much better, it is amazing to me I just had surgery 11 hours ago. Next hurdle is the leak test sometime this AM, if I pass that then I can drink....very much looking forward to that.
Ok, that's all for now, gonna hit the hallway for a bit. BTW, I am in room 11 if anyone here would like to say hi.
How are you feeling? I'm second up for surgery today but will come say hello when I start walking after surgery
-
Are you first????
No I'm second.. Shauna is first I believe. How are you doing? I'm chilling since they gave me something to calm my nerves... I'm so bored though

I'm here now and I heard there were 6 of you guys flying in for Dr. Garcia today. Hope you all have safe flights and when you get to the hospital stop by room 14 and say Hello if you'd like, my name is Sophia. Everyone here is very welcoming and warming. I feel completely at ease! Good luck to everyone and see you soon
