  1. Change takes time and it takes consistency. It is okay to stumble, trip, or fall as long as you get right back up, wipe your knees, and continue on your course.

  2. Well....hopped on bathroom scale this morning...322 on one...went and used the HD scale and it read 325. This officially drops me from a 58 BMI down to 39. 153 lbs lost and the ship is still sailing. Feels damn good... so grateful for this sleeve gift. So grateful for the friends found here at Bariatric Pal.

  3. I am now about 13 or 14 weeks out and have lost 43lbs. I feel like this is not good but i know everyone loses at their own pace. Is there any food out there that we can use when those salty cravings hit. I've really not had any sweet cravings which for me is a milestone in itself but am i lacking in the sodium department? What do any of you suggest for when those cravings hit?

  13. Lost 10 lbs over holidays. Yeah!

  14. That dreaded moment you are told you need to come to the trauma center to meet your spouse. It has been a rough couple of days. Hubby broke his C2 vertebrate which is right up underneath your skull. We are so blessed that he is not paralized. We spent days on the nuerology floor at our local trauma center. I didn't grab my vitamens or protien drinks (only 4 weeks post op)....I ate mushy protiens at the hosptial and took lots of walks to help with the stress. I know my vitaman levels will be a mess later this week at the dr, but I am proud of my self for not turning to food in a time where no one could blame me for doing it. Total NSV!

I am so sorry to hear about this; however, I am very happy to hear that he will not be paralyzed. I am definitely sending thoughts and prayers your way. And it is inspiring to see that you found a positive in this situation! Take care of that spouse of yours!

That is AWESOME!!! One step at a time, one second at time, one minute at a time. We all need to start somewhere. It takes courage to begin and takes strength to continue. You can do it!!!!!

  17. Guess what I did tonight?!! I went shopping for boots to wear with my skinny jeans. I literally tried on 10 pair and could fit in all of them. Even the wide calf ones used to not fit me! Now I can wear regular ones with no problem! My husband was so excited for me that he bought me two pair! One black leather coach and one brown pebbled leather pair! They are so dam cute I can hardly wait to wear them! Yeah me!!!

  18. I have gained 10 pounds! Sounds bad, but I am the same size because the weight is pure muscle mass! Loving the weight room!!!

You can do it!!! Get rid of those finger foods and bad foods. If they are not there and you don't have access to them, you will not eat them!

Thank you, and yes, I am putting in the time! 5-6 days a week, concentrating on 1-2 muscle groups at a time. I go heavy and I go hard! Loving the curves it is giving my new body!
