Have a small glass you'll be fine. It will curb your craving, give you some vit. C then back to your plan. There is added sugar in juices of course but it won't sabotage your LIFELONG journey with your sleeve. We need to remember that this path we chose has changed us permantly and we need to now be more decisive in our choices from now on but not to deny us the good things God has provided for us to enjoy albiet in much smaller doses.

Orange juice has a lot of sugar. Juices usually have added sugar, aside from just the fruit. I wouldn't have if but if its not against your nutrition plan it won't hurt unless you're newly post-op then the acid may wreak havoc on your stomach.

You could try the Syntrax Nectar Fuzzy Navel whey Protein. It doesn't taste exactly like orange juice, but close enough. And for 1 scoop in 8oz of Water you are getting 23g of protein.

I thought I made a HUGE mistake and I wasn't even pain. But once the liquid phase passed and I started eating again it slowly got better. I've even ventured to restaurants again (I look up everything first to see nutrition) and it feels good. Once the weight starts coming off and the eating resumes the feeling of sadness left. I had several moments of crying that stemmed from pure frustration, regret, anger ... you name it I felt it!

I was so excited about this surgery! I had it on Wednesday and I've been in pain and miserable since!! I'm totally doubting my decision now!! Is this normal? I am getting my fluids down really well! I'm wondering, could I be going through a food mourning of some type? Being that it was such a huge comfort in my life and now I can't eat anything and will never be able to pig out again!!! It will be a good thing I know, but has anyone else had this feeling of regret right after??!!

Wow...Wow...Wow... You sound like me!! I'm actually scheduled for July 13th and my husband has yet to say anything to me but.. I'm not sure why your doing this!! Really, well I'm 340 lbs why am I doing this because I'm fat and sad about it!! I have three kids, my youngest is 4 1/2 years old, there three more reasons I'm doing this...
My mother is negative so I don't have her to talk to, my husband has no worries in the world (or at least I don't see the worry in him) I worry about everything and I mean everything!! Also in the midst of this I have went back to much longer hours at work so my laundry is so backed up it looks like two mountains, the trash has to be carried out every single day bc I'm making everyone use paper plates, bowls, cups, forks and spoons lol and TV dinners!!! Bad mom...bad bad mom!!
He works long hours as well so nope he does nothing...nada dang thing. So on top of having ZERO people to talk to and support me I also have a messy house to worry about!! Oh I could go on and on!!

I've noticed mine are starting to get looser also. I don't want to lose them though. When that's the one thing you're only ever complimented on, you start to appreciate what ya have! But hey I'd rather be flat chested than morbidly obese.

I am still in the beginning stages of this process.. but I was just thinking. My husband is part of the my weight problem I believe. He is very emotionally abusive and bipolar. He throws the words fat A$$ and fat b!=ch at me in every argument. Oh I didn't mention he is almost 300 pounds himself. Anyway, I have been with him for 20 years and we have 4 beautiful children together, but I really feel like the new me going to want to throw him out with the other 85% of my stomach. I just don't think he realizes how his words hurt not only me, but the kids and I have a feeling once I feel better about me, he's gone.
I wanted to know if anybody else had this issue?

I am 18 months out and I haven't had a coke, soda or pop since about 2 months pre-op. I was so surprised that I haven't missed it. The only time I even think about a diet coke is when hubby and I go to the movies. popcorn and diet coke just kinda go together. I have heard so many bad things about them being painful and all around bad for you that I don't even want to try. #1. I am not into pain. #2. I don't want to go against my docs orders. and #3 I want to follow the rules since VSG is such a big step to change my life for the better.
My sweet tooth has never gone away...that's been my big downfall and has contributed to my 4 month stall. I just have to say no.

I was sleeved on March 27. I tried a sip of diet soda after a couple of weeks, then at one month. I threw up both times. Now, I can now drink Coke zero without any problems.

I was a coke zero addict before surgery, I would have one or two 2 litre bottles a day. And I didn't give it up until the day before surgery. But strangely after surgery I don't miss it that much. I have had a sip post op and it made me so uncomfortable, like I could feel every bubble in my stomach. It was kind of painful.
Anyway I'm 5 months out now and I told myself I would try drinking some again at a year out.
