I am doing really good, the first week is the hardest shofar.. Doing better this week. Not as emotional..on the puréed and that's tough to figure out. I guess it's a learning curve.just focusing on my Protein and Water still with a little applesauce and creamy soup...

Both my husband and I just got approved for December 13! Joy!!

If you still haven't found anyone here who is scheduled that day, ask Susan if she will give your info to the others being sleeved the same day and see if they want to get in touch with you. Amyinorlanda here did that and she was sleeved the day before me, 3.5 months ago, and still keeps up the other two ladies.
He is an extremely competent surgeon and you are indeed in very good hands.

I had my surgery from Dr Alvarez! Wonderful. Professional my stitches look like a plastic surgeon tiny!! I feel great leave tomorrow have great nut information I am thrilled and so is my hubby who is a dr himself. Total cost 8,7000

Whew! Hi, My Fellow Sleevers! I was sleeved on 11-11-13! Veteran's Day, Yay! My surgery went well. I was a little nervous. I'm 5 days Post-Op...No problems so far...I have some mild pain around my incision sites...I'm keeping my fluids @ a lil more than 66oz a day... I should be moving to pureed next week (my Post-Op appt) I'm walking about an hour or more a day...I rarely have gas pains...If I do, my Doctor gave me the Okay (please follow your Doctor's instructions) to take Gas X chewables...I use a heating pad @ night, I'm using my Spirometer religiously , and I have a great ab binder (from my Doctor) to hold my stomach in place for coughing, positioning myself for sleep, etc...Overall, no complications... I'm feeling blessed & lucky...I hope all my 11/11 buddies are doing well.... Good luck to all the Pre-Op & Post-Op Sleevers... This is one of the best decisions I've ever made for myself! I'm ready for the good. ..the bad, and,.. the ugly! Negativity doesn't live on this block anymore!!! Good Night... I'll talk to yall soon...♥tammethick♥...

Today was surgery! People I feel amazing!!! No pain. I am up walking and swishing Water and spit out for now. One gas pain. I got up and walked it out! Dr Alvarez you are an angel. You live up to your reputation !! I plan on following your directions completely!! Endobaritric is amazing! Don't hesitate , research well and try to find someone who you are thinking about. Talk to them. I did!!

MCM13 - she did not. but she did say she is going to make my size a bit larger and hopefully this will help. After she spoke w/ my GI she felt better about doing the surgery but not 100%. I appreciate her honesty. Taking into considerartion all risks...I am going for it! December 10th!

I am 1 month post op and I am hearing from people that other people (at work and amongst other friends) are asking what I'm doing to lose weight because I'm "shrinking"! I had been sitting here after a cold walk feeling sorry for myself because I wanted candy, but when another unsolicited compliment came in from my fiancés best friend, it cheered me up! And he has NO idea about my surgery. Pre-Op W: 262 CW: 236.3

I think we need a slow losers club. I would certainly be a member. I'm disappointed too. I thought I would lose a lot more quicker. I'm eating about 700 calories a day and appears I'm on track to lose 2 pounds a week. I know that's considered good in most circles, but after going through such a drastic surgery I thought it would be a better number. I knew it would slow up after a while too. Oh, well. Thanks for posting. Makes me not feel so alone.

As for me, I never considered anything else but the sleeve. I was so happily surprised when I learned about the sleeve just 2 month ago. I never wanted a gastric bypass because of the risks and a lap band was never an option due to the fact that I seldom hear good things about it. I am 3- weeks post op and the sleeve works great. Good Luck

This may be TMI for some.....but after my TT my abdomen looks great. But my ass looks like 2 sleepy shar-peis.

Glad to hear it. I'm 5 weeks post TT and feeling great. I'm also 6'2" so I was curious. Seems like our weight is almost the same. I feel like I have no more to lose even though I'm a long way from "normal" BMI weight. I'm ok right here though. Healthy and happy.
