    Alcohol what do you drink?

I've had a couple glasses of wine and a few margaritas (only 1at a time). Have had a few sips of beer, but just not worth it. I'll drink a couple glasses of wine a week. I know it's empty calories, but I enjoy it. We live near some Amazing wineries and their just too good.

May sleevers! How much have you lost so far?

I was Sleeved May 13. My highest wt was 325, wt Day of surgery was 305. I'm down to 260 and have been stuck here for the past month (or more) I dip down to 258 then back up. I want to be happy with 60# in 6 months....but it's hard. I've been traveling on a vacation the past 2 months and its been hard to stick to my normal routine. I hope to get back on track in December. Looking at Before and After pics (and my clothes) I can see a change. I just know I'm capable of better. So Happy I found my log on info so I can check in here again. Pics are 11 months apart!

May sleevers! How much have you lost so far?

I'm glad I checked in today. Have been frustrated and worried about my sloooow progress...surgery date was May 13th. Wt on Check in was 305, but was 325 at my Highest 2 months prior to surgery. I'm down to 266# which is 36 lost in 3 months and 59 total! I felt that so many ppl were losing 50-60 lb in 3 months, so was feeling like I'm failing at this. I'm not exercising on a regular basis and know that will help. My Dr at 1 month explained the stair step loss and that sure describes me! I'm happy to see my BMI down from 52-42 and my clothes are much much looser! I'm inspired by you guys all sharing your stories. Some are doing better because they are exercising....I really need to get with it. Thanks for the boost! WTG May Sleevers!!!

    5 weeks post surgery

Very similar story (minus the smoking) I just updated my blog as well on how I need to be patient. I too struggled with Hunger...true hunger. Still get hungry, but then I'm full! Must find a happy medium. Congrats on your progress I'm close to you on wt loss as well. 25# since May 13 surgery, and 20# in the 2 months preop. (45 total)
  5. Had my 1month post op check last week. I was worried that the surgeon would be disappointed in my wt loss. I'd had a 10 day stall where I went up and down the same 3 lbs. I finally stopped worrying about how any calories I was eating and just focused on water and protein, and the scale started moving a bit. But I still thought it wasn't enough. The dr spent almost 30 mins of unhurried chat with me explaining and encouraging me to look ahead....WAY down the line. He promised me that I WAS going to lose wt. I had been feeling like a failure when I couldn't get the 80-90g of protein and would be a bit short on the 64 oz of water. I also was frustrated at all the May sleevers on here eating 500-700 calories. I was so hungry at week 3 on such a low calorie intake. I confessed that on some days I hit 1000 calories! He told me that even at 1200 calories, I would lose wt.. But in the end, he encouraged the basics. 3oz protein and 1/2 to 1 cup of sides. Try to get at least 20g protein each meal. Try to get 64 oz water in. Chew Chew Chew. Eat slow. Eat less fatty foods. Stop at first sign of fullness. These are rules I can live with. I can do this. I AM doing this! In fact, I need to go in and adjust my Ticker, cause I'm down another 3# this week!

May sleevers! How much have you lost so far?

I finally lost a couple of pounds after a 10 day stall. Have just focused on protein and water and didnt worry about calories so much. Read so many ppl at 500-600 calories and felt like a piggy when I'd hit 900-1000. My body just needed to adjust to the new me I guess. Hang in there sleevers!

    Scale and Motivation Stuck!

The Scale moved this morning...It was only 1 pound, but it's a New pound. I actually went over 1000cal yesterday. Ate a small ice cream bar 200 cal/2g protein. Was so worth it. Thank you for kind words of Support. I've been active getting house and yard ready for company. (Working up a sweat) but not truly working out. Will try to make time for that.
  9. Almost 5 weeks and only 16 or so since surgery...I feel better. No loss in over a week (except for the 3 I gained) Hoping to be where your at in another 6 weeks.

    Scale and Motivation Stuck!

Surgery May 13th...have only lost 19# post op...which would be ok, except scales stuck. Increased protein, water. Nothing. Decreased calories, increased calories. Nothing. I feel like I'm gonna stay fat forever...but not eating enough and miserable! Im Either hungry, or full. If I cut calories anymore, I'll just be hungrier and have no energy. Yesterday; 649 cal 70g protein about 50-60 oz water Wednesday: 692 cal 85g protein 64+ oz water Tuesday I went over 1000 calories but had more protein 88g Mon 803 cal 80g protein 64+ oz water I See dr/nurse next Tuesday. Would really like to show a loss between now and then. I am down almost 40# from my heaviest in Jan of 325... But really hoped for more drastic results, since I did something so drastic with this sleeve!

    Hit a slump!

I'm 4 weeks and 2 days...s ale is t moving. Goes down and up...just focusing on protein and water. Hoping for a change by Monday. Feel like I had surgery for nothing.

    Is 2-3 ounces my normal

It finally clicked with me anot the protein. I read thru my guidelines from nutritionist. It said that my body has at that will convert to glucose to feed my cells....I have carbs covered. But I need protein or else my body will take from my own muscles... Protein is for nutrition, carbs are for variety and enjoyment. I'm shooting for 20-30g protein a meal and my 64oz water/liquids. My calories are staying at 900. Scale finally moved today so it's working.

    Is 2-3 ounces my normal

My NUT emailed me back and said to get in 3oz of meat a meal and be closer to 20-30g Protein a meal...and 1/4c side dish. Shot for 1/2-1c of food a meal 60-90g protein. I feel better about my wt stall. Got in 80g protein today and my 64 oz Water. She told me women tend to lose in steps. I'm expecting a change soon. Not gona beat myself up anymore. (At least for this week).

    Is 2-3 ounces my normal

(Surgery may13) I'm so scared that I'm not gona lose any more wt...I am able to eat a cup of food...chew it to mush and am full afterwards. But my calorie intake is almost double some of yours. I just can't do fat free and sugar free foods. I want to eat what my family eats jst less. Wt is stalled right now. Up and down same 3# 16 lost since surgery until this week. I was at church BBQ yesterday and ate a grilled hotdog and 1/4c potato salad my daughter made. Enjoyed it, and was a little full. It was the best choice I could make for the day. My calorie intake on soft fods is closer to 900 cal and 70g Protein. NUT seemed ok with that. A week ago was closer to 600-900 cal.
