I would do it and see what happens. You'll get there!! Are you on Facebook? There's a forum there that's secret and it's really informative.

    Ohio Sleeve patients?

Welcome!!! Everyone here if you're on Facebook there is a lady who has a secret room that she will add you to...no one on your page sees your posts or that you're a member. It's a great page for support also. Search for Elizabeth Warner here...she should be in my friends list. Look for her on Facebook and she will add you once you friend request her.

I'm glad to help!! I feel that sharing info is crucial because we are all told different things. I've got a whole 3 ring binder full of info and if it helps anyone I'm glad to share! We are all striving for the same goals and no one should be deprived of that.

My nut told me NO protein bars as they're a carb packed nightmare and so far every bar I've got has been packed with carbs. Ive yet to find one that's high protein low carb. In fact my Dr. And nut gave us guidelines to use for our protein intake and how to guard against over loading and gaining. The guidelines are as follows. Protein supplements should contain 15-25 gr of protein, NO more than 5-8 grams of sugar and no more than 3-5 grams of fat for each 8 oz prepared serving. 60-80 grams of protein are needed each day to maintain muscle and no collegen protein. For those with stalls...maybe this will help?

It's sorta like dumping, but it's our bodies way of dealing with grease and fried foods. I did that with a fried shrimp...just one and I was vomiting, sweating, tired and said no more!!! I also decided I'd try a teenie weenie sip of Coke...I was a coca cola addict before. The carbonation burnt my tongue, and I winced from the taste. I guess this surgery does change you!

Gas pain people...I hear and felt your pain. When it happens..walk, walk, walk and keep walking. It lets the air move...and once you have surgery you'll be forced to sip sip sip if not then the pain will happen because of the air we are taking in.

    Just keep swimming...just keep swimming

Just keep going, just keep going......Dory will find you!! She at least can remember the address! :-) my dr told me Monday at my 6 wk ck up that I'm going to have roller coaster moments. You're moving and your body is trying to figure out what you're doing to it! It's confused and it will catch up trust me. Plus remember muscle weighs more than fat, so you're building muscle burning fat and the scale WILL go down. When it does you'll do your happy dance! Patience grasshoppa!

GNC, but they're not healthy and are a horrible source of protein. They're made of Collegen protein and it's not a good source for bariatric patients.
