I have a few pair of jeans available. Venezia and also some Shapewear - great jeans with a "sliming panel" in the tummy and thighs. I can ship a few in a flat rate box. Let me know if you are interested. (send me a message)

Had my VSG this morning 5/21/2014 so I am officially on the other side now. It all went so well, the surgery last about 2 hours, I will be in the hospital until Friday. Can't believe it finally has happened. Feeling good having some gas pains but I've taken 3 small walks around the nurses station.

I was only allowed three shakes per day, plus sf Jello and sf ice pops. The first 2 days were tough...then after that I didn't mind it as much. I felt this was the beginning of my journey and just something I had to do..I didn't crave food after those 2 days. You will make it through...a little at a time.

Try some of the clear Protein drinks.
GNC has a really good Protein coconut Water out now - Cocotein.
Isopure clear protein is great and got me through those first couple of weeks. Lots of flavors - and Amazon will deliver a case for you for free.
powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury has a good strawberry sorbet which is better when you mix it with a pack of Crystal Light lemonade.
Some of the Matrix fruit flavors are good too...
whey 2 Go - 50 calorie protein Water packet. Available on Amazon
Hope some of these help...hang in there! I love my Protein Drinks. I miss it when I don't have one in the morning.

SkinnyScrapper reacted to sleevie.wonder in Are you open or private about surgery and why?
I told my immediate family. But two of them have already told other people. I got so frustrated and mad when I found out. I mean, now people I don't even KNOW now know about my surgery. That is so weird to me. It's none of their damn business. And it's not my family's business to be telling other people. Maybe I'm the only one who feels this way, idk. Just wish I knew why it is so hard to keep it to themselves.

Thanks for the advice on the therapist and exercise - and even the birth control...maybe I can try that now that I am over 50! LOL! Exercise was helping...but I exercised for an hour last night...maybe today is just a bad day. I need to get a good night's sleep!

Has anyone felt like they were just "losing it" emotionally? I have a lot of changes right now on my life on top of the VSG ... And there are times that I just want to cry . I wish this would stop...and I can't tell if the physical changes are part of this.

I can make grade limeades and lemonages... get crushed ice and fill a glass with it, squeeze lemons or limes (about 1/2 a lemon or a lime) and add 2 splenda and stir! Awesome!

Had to go through everything to find pictures of me before post op since I hated taking body pictures, but this is the closest I found. This is Halloween before surgery (6 months pre op) and today, 1 day shy of my 5 month surgiversery. Wore a shirt I couldn't fit in for years so I am a happy camper

16 oz or 32 oz container of Greek fat free yogurt mixed with cheesecake SF pudding mix. 16 oz tastes like a thick cheese cake. I like it a bit lighter so I do about 25 oz with one box of pudding mix. Can also add graham cracker crumbs on top or make with chocolate or other flavor of pudding.
SF pudding...but adds scoop of Protein powder in each bowl.

I'm all about being honest: Since we're traveling in a different state right now, in the past week I've eaten:
*a cheeseburger from In and out Burger (took me all day to nibble on 1)
    * a fish taco (1) from Del Taco
    *Homemade beef stroganoff
*Chili cheese fries from Carls Jr (about 1/5th - can't reheat fries so the rest went in the trash)
    *a homemade grilled cheese sandwich
    * a chicken buritto bowl from Chipotle (still eating the leftovers 3 days later)
Tonite I'm actually having grilled tilapia and fresh asparagus. Gotta have a healthy meal in there somewhere. I'm of the school of thought that I can eat whatever I want just in really small portions. It worked with my lapband (lost 104 lbs) till it slipped. I'm losing slowly (20 lbs in 8 weeks) and I could be losing faster but hey, I fit into Old Navy size 6 skinny jeans last week and if I want a Del Taco fish taco then by God I'm gunna have 1. Just 1.
    Just being honest...
(which I doubt all posters on this board all the time are..I mean we had surgery on our stomachs, not our heads)
