I just received my EOB yesterday & for the sleeve, it was nearly $17,000 & my insurance paid all but $450. From most people I have heard their surgery was around the $20,000 mark. I can't believe yours was $120,000??!!! Wow....maybe they're planning on building a new wing onto the hospital!

I've been ordering mine online from www.barenecessities.com. I try on bras in the store (Kholes, Macy, etc.) but I've found them on sale on the webiste. I've probably spent quite a bit over the past year...I'm a bra snob and want something that feels like it isn't event here. I was sized a few years ago so I learned what to watch for...which has helped. I'm now in a 2 clip back which I haven't seen since my teens!!!!

They are crap! That's my opinion lol. I am post op, but a male so I wouldn't obviously wear them lol. But I got them for two of my friends who are post op (got them from Boscovs, they sell the same ones there), and it was a disappointment. Hope you find something to make you feel more comfortable!

We each know our tolerance level for crap others put on us, and it's up to us to set those limits. Since his cheating happened once before in your marriage, I think it's safe to assume that since it happened a second time, it could also happen again. It's up to you to decide if that's the life you want for yourself, and you said you are tired of this life. You are powerful - so use your power wisely. You said you are prepping yourself mentally and financially, so that's a very wise move on your part. Hi Pixie!!! The end of your post brought tears to my eyes. My guy is turning 19 and still so sweet & loving. He doesn't cuddle really anymore without saying, "Moooooooooommmmmmmmmmmm! I'm not a baby anymore!" hahaha BUt his sweet spirit has stayed the same. I am glad your guy is doing well and has some good supports. <3 Welcome!!!!

My story is pretty much like Cowgirl Jane's. I tried everything & there was nothing left & I felt I was running out of time (or life), so I closed my eyes & jumped in! Good luck on your decision!

Fred my recommendations is to get your calories from real food. Forgive me for being blunt but you're doing what people who gain weight after VSG do--drinking your calories and getting some from chips etc. You need chicken, beef, pork eggs cheese etc so you can feel the restriction that the VSG gives you.
At four months out, you should be down to maybe 1 Protein shake. My shakes have 150 calories, not more. Nuts are nutritious but highly caloric.
I'd suggest 1 homemade Protein Shake, and 4-5 meals of real food. 1/2 c meat, 1/4 c veggies, 1/4 c complex carbs at most at each meal. That combo will fill you up and get your calories in balance. If you're still hungry with all that, make vegetable Soup and drink that. HTH
