How does that work? What's the brush concept?

I can see a major difference! That's just awesome! Keep up the good work! I'm 7 weeks out & have been stalled for the past 2 weeks. I'm thinking I'm going to be one of the sleeve failures. But still holding out hope that something will kick in soon! You're doing a great job!! Be proud!

Awesome loss! You looked so tired in the "before" pic but no matter what, still had a pretty smile ~ before & after! Congratulations on your weight loss! There is a very noticeable difference!

I hate cancer. Just try to keep positive & if it is indeed that dreaded diagnosis, hopefully it was found early enough to make a difference. Treatment really has improved over the years. Keeping Bill (& you) in my thoughts.

Absolutely amazing! Congratulations! I noticed you kicked the cane too in your "after" pic!

Holy Cow! Perfect name for it tho...I'm sure the developer is very "HAPI" when you buy one of his forks for $100! LOL!

And some more "WOW's" coming from me!!! WOW! WOW! WOW!!! I bet your job is a lot easier to perform now too! Good job! Congratulations!!

I'm almost 7 weeks out & so far, whatever I've eaten, has been tasted the same. Altho, today we went to a furniture store VIP event (only because I went there once last month looking for furniture ~ go figure) & they had a huge tray of Cookies & coffee. So I grabbed a cookie without even thinking & my husband asked me "are you going to eat that?" I was shocked to see the cookie in my hand! LOL! Anyway, I told him that I got it for him but just wanted a bite! I took a bite & it was disgustingly sweet! I went back & got some coffee just to wash my mouth out of the taste of that cookie! YUCKO! I will probably NEVER eat another cookie again after that experience! BTW, that was my first 2 sips of real coffee I've had since before my pre-op diet. Unfortunately I didn't enjoy it as much because I kept tasting that cookie bite! That'll teach me!

Wow...you were brave to go to a movie! I still haven't gone & I'm 6.5 weeks out! LOL! I **LOVE** popcorn so there's no way I can sit around that wonderful smell & not have some so looks like I'll be borrowing video's from the library a lot now! BTW, which movie did you see that was hilarious?
GMANBAT ~ your ladies took sausage & fried chicken into the movies in their purses or did I misunderstand you???

I'm so happy for you but I'm also so depressed now! I had my surgery July 16th & I've only lost 34-35 lbs. :-(
You look great! Congratulations!

Can't wait till I can say the same! You look great! BTW, was that your cruise ship in the background? If so, which one was it?

I'm a side sleeper too & the first couple nights, I couldn't sleep in any position! I walked around the house trying the couches, the chairs, etc...but by the 4th night, I took an additional pillow to bed with me & propped my tummy on it & all was well in my world! Try leaning your tummy on a pillow ~ worked for me!

I've so enjoyed reading this thread! It gives me more options to look forward too because I'm stuck in a rut of eating the same things over & over & over! Thank you all & keep this thread going!

My NUT told us to eat with a baby spoon because if you don't you could take too big of a bite and that it's super painful. So maybe try that and also waiting 1 to 2 kin in between bites. Supposed to take 30min to eat 2 to 3oz. Again...advice from my NUT. Hope you feel better.
Yep, my NUT basically told me the same thing. I do have chest pain if I gobble down my food too fast or don't chew it enough but it only took a couple times of that to happen for me to S.L.O.W. down & chew, chew, chew.

Oh Gawd! My mother is the food ****. Thank god i dont live with her. She is always looking at every single flipping package of whatever i am eating at her house and saying "oh my god heather..this food has ---- many grams per serving. Even when she orders pizza and cake for someones birthday. This coming from the lady who drinks green smoothies in the morning and salads with egg on top but comes home from work and eats Hawkins Cheesies and licks the icing off of the cake board and knife! Oh and lets not forget the Cookies downstairs that she eats before bed..
I hate your Mom. (No disrespect intended!)

If he's trying to help, there are gentler ways of being supportive. My husband knows better than to say anything to me about what's going in my mouth.

I'm so glad to read this post...I too have been in a stall for what seems forever but I believe its been 2 weeks now, just seems longer. I keep going up & down the same 2 lbs. I'm staying just below 800 calories & getting my Water in so have no clue what the problem is, except that I keep reading it's normal. Well, I DON'T LIKE IT ONE BIT! Grrrrrrr! Yet, I do see my clothes are fitting me differently & I'm swimming in some of my tops that I couldn't wear because they were too snug on me so something is happening but I want to see it on the scale! WAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!! I do have a love/hate relationship with my scale ~ always have, always will! (Well, maybe I'll really love my scale when I reach my goal!)

I just received my EOB yesterday & for the sleeve, it was nearly $17,000 & my insurance paid all but $450. From most people I have heard their surgery was around the $20,000 mark. I can't believe yours was $120,000??!!! Wow....maybe they're planning on building a new wing onto the hospital!
