Use My Fitness Pal. First things first, track your food intake for a week or two, you might be surprised how my calories you're actually getting. I thought I was putting in way to many calories just trying to get Protein in, but when I tracked it, I found I was getting 400-800 calories a day. The website will tell you how many calories you need to take in for optimal weight loss. It's almost impossible to get that many calories in, but I no longer freak out to much, and I am loosing weight like I'm supposed to.

So I had my Gallbladder out today. Everything went great but I got to say, being sent home right after is really hard. They gave me a big dose of pain meds before I made the trip home, but it was still painful.
While I was in pre-op I was by myself for a few hours before my friend was able to arrive. The girl across from me was waiting to have the sleeve and when she noticed I was alone she sent her mom to me. Seriously, sometimes people are awesome. She thought I was having the sleeve today because I had the same surgeon. I told her mom my story and warned her about the first week, but that it was so very worth it.
Anyways, she is sleeved now and I am without a gallbladder. That has been my day in a nutshell. :0)

I actually jogged on the treadmill tonight at an incline... granted it was only like 30 seconds to a minute, but I did it. I am very excited for myself.

I am on day 6 of quitting a 23 year 2 pack a day smoking habit. I agree with you. This is HUGE!
I am super proud of you. Quitting smoking is making the pre-op liquid diet look like a walk in the park.

This is so dumb. I have quit smoking. I have been a smoker for about 30 yrs. whenever it comes up that I've quit, people say things like "it's about time" or "good for you!" Or "that's great!" (Here's the dumb part) I want people to do cartwheels! Do they not understand that that is HUGE? Well, I know they do, really I do, but I want the sky to open up and drop balloons and confetti... all over the place.
    And doves and unicorns, too

I got my call today, YEA!!!!!!! I'm surprised that I only have to see a nutritionist once, watch a DVD and fill out some paperwork. I can't believe it's all happening so fast. Im more than thankful to myself for making that call. This all started just a few days ago and now I'm on my way. Finally I will become healthier and will have the body to match my personality and smile. It still hasn't all quite hit me yet. I'm so appreciative of this app and all of the people that are willing to share their advice and experiences, I'm sure I will have lots of my concerns eased and questions answered just from reading some of the threads.

Did you go over your calories and fats and sugars or whatever you're tracking? If not, you are prob okay. If yes, work out a little more to tomorrow and just don't eat another one for a while. You'll do okay. ((Hugs))

Two years ago today, my husband of 20 years had a melt down and told me for the first time how much he hated my body and that our sex life was terrible because I was fat. This was the first time he had ever said anything and I was pissed, shocked, hurt and confused. I thought about walking out because it was such a bombshell, but over the next two weeks we got everything out in the open (including me telling him things that I had held back). We cried, we fought, we talked, we made some decisions. Although he could have handled it much differently, I couldn't deny that he was right....not to mention my health was going downhill.
A month later, I had WLS, that was October 2011.
A year later, I had lost 80 lbs and reached my goal weight. That was September 2012.
I wrote a blog every Sunday for the first year. If you haven't read it and you want some inspiration, please go to www.queenofcrop.com I want to inspire those who aren't sure if they should do this, or might be struggling after the surgery.
My life today is an extraordinary, amazing life. My health issues are gone, my husband and I have never been closer, our sex life is more than amazing, I feel younger and happier than I have in my entire life.
    I turn 60 in a few weeks. I feel 35. I think I look pretty good for 60.
    I'm happy. I am grateful.

    1. It is very common to lose hair, to keep it minimal, keep up on your protein!
    2. I'm about 9 months out, and my scale has gone down for the post part. I did hit my personal goal a couple of months ago, and the scale has remained. I have never had a case in the past 2 years (I was banded prior to sleeve), I've always maintained what I've lost. I won't lie and say I don't step on that scale every 2 days just to make sure!!
    3. While my band was being removed the doctor did fix a hernia. And through no fault of the surgeon/clinic it was discovered the next morning I had a tear in my spleen. They still can't figure out how it tore. And despite both those 'complications', I came out feelig good and had a good recovery (other than being pale forever after losing 4 pints of blood).
Of course we all differently and no one can say what you'll experience. From what i've read online and at the surgeons office, the most common thing that happens is discovering a hernia that needs repair.
You'll be fine always keep positive thoughts in your head.

Well...let's talk about white poop. With my gall bladder not functioning at all I had white poop and felt like someone had taken a sword and impaled me from front to back. It was awful. Sounds pretty similar.
